Anarzia's magical fingers made him seem slightly better, since he could stand without needing physical support. I held on to his arms just incase.

A small crowd had formed outside the Arena on hearing the commotion but quickly dispersed when we noticed them. We decided to end the fest by taking Deccan back to the manor; and he didn't resist either.

Dora and Hex said that they wanted to scout the fair further and left. Telsin tried to get Killian to apologize but in reply he glowered at his victim and us.

Most of the festive-goers complimented Deccan and Liam on their performance and the boys acknowledged it unenthusiastically.

The seven of us squeezed into a single carriage and set off for the manor.

"Is it hurting?" Anarzia looked woefully at Deccan's stomach and gently placed her hand on his knees.

He shook his head and gazed out of the window. We shared a glance as it was very unlike him. The absence of a witty comment proved that something hurt him mentally.

"Why did he get so mad? Because Deccan did what he couldn't?" Grant furrowed his brows and stared unpleasantly at the siblings for an answer.

"To be honest with you, brother has always been extra competitive and possessive. But lashing out on someone because of his failure; that's not like him." Telsin sighed remorsefully. "Something's gotten into him and I don't know what."

"Well that sucks because he managed to scratch my arm too. That lad's fucking rabid; someone get him vaccinated." Liam lifted his tunic sleeves to reveal a red line made by a fingernail.

"I'm sorry. I really am. But may I ask what is this vaccinated  you mentioned?" Telsin cocked his head to one side peering at Liam. He shared a look of baffle with Grant and stared at Telsin.

"A Human thing. To protect people from dangerous diseases." Amelia muttered, folding her arms.

Telsin nodded lightly, trying to process what she said.

"How do you save yourself from illnesses then?" She studied his face.

"We don't have to. Elven bodies have the capability to create and sustain in high and low temperatures and survive perilous illnesses. Our immunity is superior to any creature."

"That's what a virus would say." Deccan mumbled looking out of the window.

We chuckled because his old self had returned.

"That sounds fascinating . . . You make  something you don't have inherently. That's the most Human definition of something. Deccan promised to show me your world!" Anarzia smiled earnestly at him.

"I never pro-- You know what? I'll show you around." He let out an exasperated breath.

"Oh!" Anarzia clasped her hands in sudden enlightenment. "Coach man, please take a detour at the next turning from Manor Labanthum."

The driver glanced back at us uncertainly, but agreed nonetheless.

"Our next stop dear guests, will be fun!" Anarzia said happily. Telsin raised a brow but remained quiet.

The carriage driver stopped before a forest clearing. He opened our doors but hesitantly looked around. "Are you sure your Highness this is where you want me to leave you? The King will have my head if --"

"I'm sure. We'll come back on our own. If the Queen asks you of our whereabouts, tell her we're roaming the grounds of Colleita." Anarzia answered authoritatively. He bowed and drove away.
