Deccan's POV

The pretty girl I helped just hugged me. That is going in bold letters  in my journal.

The complicated straps around her clothes amazed me; it held so many instruments. Which made me rethink why Hellga couldn't have created one for us.

The pretty girl took my hands in hers and said some strange words in a foreign language. Although Yumiko wasn't too appreciative of the gestures the girl showed.

Mental note hundred or so: compliment Yumiko often.

Dora saved us from a game of guess my language and conversed fluently with the girl when Hex sidled next to me.

"Bet you can't guess this language. Good to know that we still have something of our own that Humans didn't copy." Hex sneered.

My excessive pride couldn't accept that we plagiarized from them.

Maybe his people could have copied our technology if that meant being able to travel in cars, instead of walking.

"They could be slandering us and our entire race for all we know. We should make up our own language guys, to talk shit about them." Liam suspiciously looked at the women.

Maybe Liam is alter ego after all.

"Liam remind me to tape your mouth." Amelia shut him quick. She needed a little persuading but I can do that.

The girl shifted her gaze between Team and me.
She watched me like I was the plague that infected her family, but at the same time pitied me like it was necessary for her family to get infected.

Dora spoke a few phrases from which I caught an heavily accented word English. The pretty girl finally turned to us and after a deep deliberation managed to say her first understandable words.

"Welcome, friends."

"She's caught up with English guys. We need to work on our own language stat." Liam nudged me. I nodded in agreement.

"Ya know that she can hear and understand, right?" Dora rolled her eyes at our not-so-secret secret.

"Perks of having long ears."

The girl stood there with a smile creeping up her face. "Forgive my English, I haven't spoken it in years. But the manner with which you casually refer the Alpha of the biggest pack, you seem like a very close bunch."

"Yes we're close, as close as we can be. And how do you know who she is ?" Yumiko asked the girl, gripping her bow a little too hard.

"I know everyone. Every creature that walks this Realm."

"Is she like Hellga or . . . ?" Grant asked Dora.

"Why don't you ask her for yourself ?" Dora smirked and stepped away from the girl who stood in the middle of our loosely formed semicircle.

"Dear Humans, I am Anarzia Rayoleth from the kingdom of Axidian. My species is what your people would call, an Elf." She held her head with pride.

"What in the Lord of the Rings is going on here?" Grant shook his head bewildered.

"I know right ?"
