My classroom was filled with people! Hopefully that was a good thing so I wouldn't stick out as much. The only issue is, most of the kids were boys! My experience with talking to guys was minimal... I was going to have to ask Penelope how to talk to guys.
A few girls invited me over to sit with them which I greatly appreciated.
"So where are you from Marie?" one of the girls asked.
"Well my family moves around a lot, but we just recently moved from Washington."
"Cool!"
"Do you want to sit with us at lunch?"
"Um sure! I'll just have to check in with my sister first so she doesn't think I got lost."
They laughed at that and gave me their numbers so I could text them later.

Penelope and I were attending the same school as the others because they offered some college classes. We had decided to take a few classes together just so we could learn something at least.
Our first class was together so we walked into astronomy and picked some seats closer to the side.
Ar first no one noticed us, but then the professor came to make sure we were situated. That's when we became the talk of everyone.
"You don't think they can see them do you?" Nel whispered.
"No we're fine," I said reassuringly.
A girl approached us with a friendly smile and introduced herself as Marisol. She was one of the student body presidents who would answer any of our questions. She was actually quite pretty but I didn't allow myself to think anything else because I knew it wasn't worth losing Penelope.
When she went back to her seat, Penelope replied, "she's nice."
"Mhm."
"She's pretty too."
"I guess," I said treading lightly on the topic.
Nel smiled and I knew she wasn't that upset. She was aware that guys like me couldn't help but notice a girl. Now on the other hand if a guy ended up flirting with Penelope... I couldn't imagine what I would do.
Low and behold it happened too. Just after class I went to ask the professor a question and noticed a few guys around Penelope. My temperature shot up and I forced myself to remain calm. She was only smiling and politely talking. Besides, she couldn't help that she was truly an angel.
I kept my eye on her while I finished getting my answer.
I walked up to her and the guys while I slipped my arm around her.
"Hey babe."
She shot me a quizzical look but still smiled. "Hi Brady, ready for your next class?"
"Yea I'll walk you too it."
"I actually have it in the opposite direction. Joseph offered to walk me over," she said brightly.
I eyed the one she called Joseph and tried to think of how she found him in the least bit attractive.
Marisol approached me, "we have the next class together. Want me to walk you over there?"
"Sure, that would be great," I replied letting go of Penelope's waist and walking away. If she wanted to play games with me, I was in.
