**another chapter as promised!**
"Ready to meet her?" I asked Tabitha and Cedric as we all stood there on my doorstep. Jeremiah was letting us stay with our parents until further notice. We hadn't been told that we were going to be terminated so I was hoping for the best.
My mom opened the door and stepped back in surprise, "Brady? Who are all these people,"
"Friends. They're like me mom," I smiled and hugged her gently.
"Oh, that's great honey. Where's Penelope?"
"Right here," she spoke and hugged my mom tightly, "it's good to see you."
"You too sweetie, how are things?"
"Good! These are our new friends. Cedric and Tabitha."
She hugged everyone, "it's nice to meet you. Now tell me where are your parents?"
"Uh, mom they don't have parents," I whispered and pulled her aside. "They were created from our DNA..."
"No parents," her face fell and she looked at me, "where are they going to stay?"
"I was hoping... they could stay with us."
"Of course honey!" she smiled and looked at the two kids, "I have spare bedrooms if you would like to stay with us. Brady loves having kids his age around in the house."
"Really!" Tabitha's eyes lit up and she beamed at Cedric.
"Really," I replied and saw Cedric bring Marie closer to him. Were they dating?
Nel looked at me with a smile. "It's okay," she mouthed as I kissed her forehead.
"I know Brady has clothes that'll fit you Cedric, and Tabitha I might have some... but we'll have to go buy some I think."
I felt somewhat guilty for them being brought into a home where my mother struggled daily with money, but I figured it would bring joy to her heart knowing we would be able to care for her more.
"Well, we're going to go stop by at Nel's house and have supper. Mom you're more than welcome to join us," I offered as Jeremiah came up to the door to drive us there.
"That sounds great Brady. Absolutely fantastic."
