**Going a little out of order, you'll have to forgive me! Enjoy**
Cedric held my hand the whole drive over there. I wasfreaking out since my dad and mom might not approve of an "older but younger" guy dating me. But in all honesty he was the sweetest guy I've ever met in my life! Maybe things wouldn't be so bad after all with him beside me.
"Don't worry Marie, I'm sure they'll like me," he whispered and kissed my cheek gently.
I blushed a deep pink and looked down at our hands because I was too embarrassed to look anywhere else.
"You look beautiful," he whispered again and brushed the hair out of my eyes.
I looked at him and saw nothing but someone who really cared for me and wanted to be there for me every step of the way.
"Thank you," I curled up closer to him right as we pulled up into my parent's driveway. This was it.
We all walked up to the door, Cedric's hand in mine and Nel's in Brady's. If she could have a boyfriend, so could I right?
James rang the doorbell and rocked back and fourth on his feet, whistling to some random tune.
"Yes?" a door opened and my mom stuck her head out.
"Mom!" James and I cried and ran to her completely leaving Cedric in the doorway with the others. Oopps..
"You guys are back!" she hugged us tightly and stood up to hug Penelope tightly. "How are you darlings?"
"Good. We made some new friends," James said beckoning to Tabitha and Cedric.
"Oh. I see, well come in! Let's get some food in you guys. You all look starved."
We walked in and headed into the dining room where some people were serving food for my dad at the head of the table. Cedric let go of my hand gently and put it on the small of my back as we all waited for him to acknowledge us.
"Penelope? Is that you guys?" he stood up and came to kiss our foreheads.
"Yes daddy, it's us." She hugged him tightly and added, "we invited Brady's mom over for dinner tonight. Hope that's alright."
"Mhm," he said and looked at Cedric and Tabitha, "who are they?"
"We... found them," James said and introduced them, "this is Tabitha, and this is Cedric."
"It's nice to meet you two," he said and looked back at my mom with a concerned look on his face.
The doorbell rang again and Brady went to go let him mom inside while I took Cedric's hand in mine and looked at my parents.
"I'm glad you found someone," my mom replied and went to go greet Brady's mother.
"Well dinner went well," James said as the six of us sat in Penelope's room just looking at different photos and things. It made me realize how much I had missed my house and own room. Maybe someday we would be able to go back to it permanently.
"I think so too," my sister added and laid her head on Brady's shoulder, "how long do you think we'll get to stay here before Jeremiah makes us leave?"
"Who knows, but for now we should enjoy it..." I replied and got up to go change clothes, "I'll be right back."
I walked down the hallway and into my room that I had definitely outgrown. The walls were a yellow color with green flowers and some fairies on it. I quickly began stashing some of my stuffed animals and other childish things away in case one of them came into my room. Then I walked over to my dresser and pulled on some shorts and a tank top to wear for bed. Who cares if it seemed revealing, I wasn't trying to dress to impress. It was for sleeping and whatever was comfortable was what I wore.
A knock sounded on my door as I pulled my hair down and padded over to open it. Brady stood there and blinked twice before speaking, "uh.. Some of us are going to bed. Just... yea."
"Oh, okay. Goodnight Brady," I replied as he turned and walked into Penelope's room.
I sat back down on my bed and started flipping through a magazine when I heard someone enter into my room quietly.
I looked up and nearly had a heart attack seeing Cedric not only shirtless but standing in my bedroom.
"Sorry am I disturbing you?" he asked turning his head to the side and observed my room with an intrigued look.
He reminded me of Channing Tatum but with wings which made me giggle. "No, just looking at girly stuff."
He smiled and closed the door before sitting on my bed next to me, "what kind of stuff?"
I opened the magazine and showed him all the makeup and fancy looking stuff that was on the page.
"You girls do all that to impress us?" he asked utterly astounded.
"Some do, I think my sister does sometimes. I didn't really try, until," I looked at him and back down.
He brought his lips to my nose and kissed it gently while looking into my eyes, "Marie, have you ever been kissed?"
I shook my head no and tried to control my breathing as he outlined my lips with his finger, "I'd like to change that if I could."
I leaned in and kissed him on the lips while intertwining my hands in his hair. 'I could get used to this.' I thought and felt him press into me gently.
"Cedric," I breathed and he pulled back to look at me.
"Hmm?"
"I'm not ready for anything else," I murmured and tried to control my breathing as he laid his head on my chest and wound his arms around my waist. "It's fine Marie, I'm not either."
**Sooooo ;-) what do you think! Love it? Hate it? I'm kinda liking the chemistry between Marie and Cedric. We'll see where this takes us.**
