"Hey there's Jeremiah's car!" I called and started to swoop down.
"Let's go," Penelope called and went down with me to stop and see what he was doing.
"Is this our new house?" I asked as he got out of the car and saw the mansion looming over us.
"Oh, hi James..." he stopped when he saw Cedric and Tabitha, "yes. This is our new house. Who are these guys?"
"As if you didn't know," Penelope scoffed.
"I really don't know who they are," he said defensively and introduced himself, "I'm their mentor or guardian, Jeremiah. And you two are?"
"Cedric and Tabitha. We were created."
"By whom?" he asked curiously.
"Holster?" Tabitha said weakly and held her head in pain.
"What happened to her?" he asked Cedric.
"Serums reacted badly with her DNA, she's been sick ever since we got experimented on. I think his goal was to create an army of us..."
Well that was no surprise, I thought.
"An army.. to do what exactly?" Jeremiah asked looking at Cedric closely.
"To wipe out the human race. We were supposed to be given laser eyes and stuff but they didn't' get that far. We have titanium bones and stronger wings but that's all I'm aware of."
We all stared at the two of them in shock. Titanium! What was this guy up to?
"You just broke them out?" Jeremiah asked looking at Nel and Brady.
"We had too, we needed answers. There weren't any others from what we saw," Brady explained.
"Yea, we left as they saw us escaping and didn't have a chance to take out Holster."
"This isn't good," Jeremiah shook his head, "he now has a formula to create more of you guys. He doesn't need the two of you anymore, you're already dead to him."
Cedric gulped and looked at us, "what about them?"
"They are as well..." his hands shook, "I've failed you all."
I looked at Nel and Marie who were looking down at the ground. Did this mean we were going to be exterminated? Surely we could go back and try to defeat Holster before he created more. I mean we had gotten in there once, how hard could it be to get in there again?
"There must be a way Jeremiah," Brady said quietly.
"I don't know guys, who knows what he has planned for you all. I think the best thing to do is to go into hiding for now until I can train you for this."
"But if you train us, he'll create more and we'll be outnumbered!" Tabitha squeaked.
"Would you rather go back and get killed or go into hiding and be trained to defeat them?"
"I'll take my chances going back," I replied and everyone else nodded.
Jeremiah sighed, "alright it's your call then. At least stay here for one night and then in the morning you can all fly back and get the formula or something. James maybe you can create some kind of bomb to destroy the facility?"
"On it," I said and grabbed my bag from the car and made my way into the house with everyone else. There was no way I was going to let my family die because we hadn't completed our task. Not when we were so close.
