"I think Cedric and Marie are good for one another," I told Brady as we laid across my bed looking out the window.
"Mhm, he seems like he'll be good for her."
"I just hope James and Tabitha don't mind... you know the rest of us dating and stuff."
"That's life Nel," Brady kissed my cheek gently, "besides they have plenty of time to grow up. Like us."
This was true. I looked at Brady and couldn't help but smile, we had come a long way from the beginning, and yet we both knew there would be plenty of time for us to grow more and discover new things.
"So I wonder how that Cory dude is," Brady teased and I threw a pillow at him, "don't forget Marisol."
"Oh how could anyone forget that perfectionist primadonna," Brady chuckled and kissed my head tenderly, "I love you Penelope."
"I love you too Brady," I kissed him back and got up to open the window.
"Wanna race?" he asked leaping onto the ledge as I giggled quietly.
"You know it," I replied and streaked out the window leaving him to trail behind.
The air pushed my hair back and made a whistling sound in my ears, it might not have been the most comfortable sound but it wasn't painful.
I opened my wings wider and let the draft of wind carry me as I waited for Brady to catch up.
He grabbed my foot and pulled me down to his level while chuckling, "nice view."
I punched him playfully and stared at the vast amount of ground that lay ahead of us. There was so much to explore everywhere we went... if only we didn't have other priorities.
"What are you thinking Nel?'
I sighed, "that we should travel when we get the chance. It'd be nice to just explore without any other care in the world."
"Sounds like a plan," he grabbed my hand, pulling me away reluctantly from the rest of the unexplored area, "let's head back."
Jeremiah pulled us all into the study that next morning and closed the door so our parents couldn't overhear the conversation. Now whether that was good or bad, I had no clue.
"What's this all about?" James asked looking at all of us with a frown.
Brady and Tabitha shrugged, "we'll find out soon."
Jeremiah pulled up something on the computer screen and enlarged the photo for us to see. It was a mug shot of Holster!
"How?" I asked perplexed.
"After the fire, the police had gone to search him out. Seeing that you guys were attending to the kids they were able to ambush him without Holster ever realizing it."
"So we're not going to be terminated?" Marie asked, her eyes lighting up.
"Nope. The public loved seeing you guys saving everyone's children that they demanded we use you the next time they need something done."
"So kinda like navy seals," James said holding his head high.
"Exactly like navy seals," I replied and ruffled his hair.
"So what's the game plan now?" Brady asked and laid his head on my shoulder.
"You can go stay with your families again, and do whatever. As long as you stay out of trouble and continue to train."
"You mean it?" I breathed and looked at Brady knowing where we would go.
Jeremiah nodded, "it's been a pleasure teaching you guys."
Marie hugged Jeremiah tightly and then ran off to go tell our parents the good news.
"You guys are always welcome to stay with me," Jeremiah said to Cedric and Tabitha.
"We appreciate that, but I think Brady's mom said we can stay with her," Cedric spoke.
"Very well then," he picked up his computer, "Ill see you guys later then."
"Bye Jeremiah," we all said as he left and I stood up along with Brady.
"Where are you going Penelope?" Tabitha asked.
"Brady and I are going to travel," I proclaimed and fluttered my wings.
"Cool! We wanna go!" James said bouncing up and down as Cedric walked back in.
I sighed and looked at Brady, "why not?"
He kissed my cheek as the others jumped up and headed out the door in a flash.
"You're an excellent leader Nel," Brady added and kissed me again.
"We make a good team," I agreed and took his hand while walking out.
"So where are we going?" James asked once we all were high up in the sky.
"Wherever the wind takes us. There's no rules or anything this time."
James and Marie whooped with glee as they raced one another among the clouds.
I looked towards Cedric, "you sure you can handle her?"
"I'll manage," he chuckled and took off after the two.
I looked back and saw my home becoming nothing but a speck behind me. For the first time in my life I didn't mind leaving, I knew I would be back eventually.
**Anndddd! Done!!!! What did you guys think? I'm ready for that to end sadly, but I enjoyed writing it. :) I will not make a sequel, it took too much time to make this book come to life in my opinion. I appreciate all the reads and feedback I got from this one! Thank you guys, couldn't have done it without you.**
