Chris Langford
I woke up from probably a dream I guess, and the last image I saw was a certain pair of brown eyes looking straight in my eyes. I let it go for a moment and collect myself up for the day. Apparently today is Saturday and I am to be at my parent's house to get married or least to say engaged.
God, save me from this batshit.
God I wish the girl Robinson doesn't shows up so I can back-out from this fucking stupid meeting.
I went to kitchen to see Marie had already prepared breakfast. Marie is in her mid-forties and has been working with my parents or say for me for last 10 years, and I am quite grateful that she can be trusted with the care-taking task of my house.
She placed my plate in front of me while I got myself seated. She seem to be observing me for a while so I gave her a questioning look and she got at me, "you seem to be tensed boy. Everything alright?" I didn't realized she studied me well, "very badly I want to say I am not good, but its okay, nothing serious." I replied.
She seem to didn't buy my answer so invaded my breakfast process with her question again, "no, usually you are normal tense, worried about work, but today you seem to be abnormally tense like tense tense, which is obviously not you."
I dropped my spoon in the plate and thought about what she just said, but she continued anyway, "let me guess, it had something to do with your parent's visit on the previous day." I nodded to her and decided to continue on my food. "boy you need to chill. Have some faith on yourself", with that being said she patted my shoulder and went back to her work.
Marie's statement did nothing to my thinking, but still I somewhat believe about the last line she said, so yeah I'll just do fine.
Leaving the house after breakfast being done, I got in my car and got on the streets to be at my parent's house. I decided to show up early than the actual time I was called as I had some questions for my dad and I wanted them by hook or crook.
Does this happens to others too or is it just me that while we are thinking about certain situations or to be more specific emotions, your insides divide into 3 : mind, heart and you.
This shit has been happening to me since my dad dropped the bomb of the marriage shit.
I so bad wanted to just bang my head to a wall, for this hell being raised upon me as I was already busy on secretly investigating about the company's certain missing or suspicious assets and my dad wants me to get in some matrimonial shitpit.
I got to the house and was told that my parents will see me in the office room. I got there and settled myself on the couch. My thoughts were trying to find a last minute solution to be out of this mess, but it was all in vain.
My mind took back to the moment were I had seen the pair of those brown eyes. I searched for her for with all my strength and power, but she disappeared in the thin air like a ghost. There was something about her that made me want to find her, put a face to her face and have a look and to get lost in those chocolate brown orbs. But fuck because she was never seen again, nobody even knows about her, it was just me, and her.
My train of thoughts came at a pause when I saw my dad enter the room and greeted, "Morning son, you're early" and went to have his seat. I gave the greetings back, "Morning dad, I want to have certain answers before the actual meeting." He wasn't even a bit affected and went on, "ahh ! I expected this from you, so what is that you want to know? "
I got to the first one, "what's the status update on uncle Kevin's presence or let's just say involvement in this meeting?" he looked a bit disappointed, and replied after a sigh,"about that, I got the word, he won't be here today as he is in Paris with some work and let me get honest to you he does not know about you getting engaged or married like this so we'll have to keep it that way."
