Chris Langford
Adjusting my shirt dress and suit one last time, I take a look at myself in the mirror and let out a sigh. I hate dressing up like this but we were heading to have dinner with Lucas Romano and I couldn't possibly show up in some jeans and t-shirt.
So yeah, dressed in the suit is what I am going with.
I walk out of my room and sit on the couch of the living room, waiting for Hailey. I decide to go through my messages and e-mails to kill my time. A certain message had me frowning and cringing at the same time as it was from some unknown number.
+ - please Chris, we need to meet soon. I need help
Ugh ! Who could this possibly be and what help the person might need and that too from me?
There was some clicking sound to which I lift my head up from my phone to see Hailey walking near me.
She was wearing some black dress that was beyond perfect on her, it was up to her knees and the sleeves were fluffy and going up to her elbows, lips in some rich shade of red- seemingly dark red or maroon red-can't help it as I am poor with naming colours, face pretty much lacking make up, killer black heels, and those hair- lose around her shoulder.
Oh boy ! Fuck Me !
Fuck the dinner !
Can I just call it a night ?
Or maybe raincheck?
Because my mind was grinning like devil thinking about the ways I'll like to tear off the dress from her body. She comes to stand near me and I lift my ass up from the couch after locking and keeping my phone in the pocket of my pants.
Placing my hands on her hips I pull her closer to myself and lower my voice to whisper in her ears,"is it bad to ruin this dress, because I'll like to tear it off and...."
Before I could complete my line, I received a good hard smack on my arm from her. She points her index finger right to my face and scowls,"You tear off the dress and I'll have you cut open through your sternum and directly electrocute your heart via a defibrillator, Langford."
Though this was cute as she just threatened me in medical language but I didn't understood what she meant so I just give a crooked grin as I lean my head towards her face. "How about I ruin that lipstick, you oh so nicely applied", I was practically an idiot even after her warning me in words I couldn't grasp.
There was a change in her expression as she wraps her hands around my neck while speaking in a softer tone,"That can be approved, but after dinner, aren't we getting late?"
"Can we call it a raincheck?", I was definitely begging. She leans her head to side and narrows her eyes,"You sure you can back off now, I am sure Lucas is almost on his way."
She is correct, we cannot back off now. I sigh, "You're right let's go." I place a hand on her waist and with that we head out for the dinner meet.
While driving, I took a few glances at Hailey and my mind was cursing at me- for not telling her that she is about to have food with the country's mafia don. I so badly wanted to tell her the truth about Lucas but just couldn't.
I hope Lucas doesn't pimps up and boasts on that, so she doesn't finds out about that.
After a few internal head scratches, I manage to drive us to the restaurant which was selected by Lucas. It was classy but not too fancy also looking expensive, not my concern for tonight.
