Chris was back to being healthy and it's been more than 2 weeks or so since he got back to his normal routine.

The times we were alone in a room together shook my nerves from their roots and my spine wasn't having it. Like the time when he held me comfortingly while I was having a headache so bad I may have wished for my head to just blast off, but obviously I didn't say that loudly. Chris might think that what kind of psycho thinks like that and that too being a practicing doctor.

I was grateful to have him around as I remember silently crying myself to sleep when no one was around to hold me while I was in pain. I taught myself that the world won't wait for your pain to subside, it won't hold out a hand for you when you fall, it won't pick you up and ask if you are okay. If you fall, its you who have to pick up yourself and move ahead.

The world, the people wait for no one. It's such a shame that sometimes people forget that we are humans and are supposed to look out for each other. At least the people we call the closer ones- but I felt like I had no one around me, maybe I had some but I don't remember.

Sure, Lina and I kicked out a great friendship of all time, but again I never knew what it felt like to head back home and have your family or least to say your parents welcome you. And I let that continue, I didn't give a single flying shit about them because they didn't showed up when I graduated, I was all alone all the times I cleared my middle school, high school senior year and even med school.

My mom did say she was proud of me and meant it, but it was just a façade because they couldn't even spare a single freakin day for me so it meant nothing. Consider that to be my villain origin story because as they said I was always mouthful and troublesome, whereas I was just reciprocating the energy back to them and being unapologetic.

My mom also called me back home saying she wants to let me know something but before that I got engaged to Chris.

Chris.

I was a scared that he may not want to do anything with me and I would be left on my own, but oh god I was so wrong since the beginning. I have him and that led to a new friend as in Nick. Nick and I kicked in a good friendship indeed.

Currently I am standing in front of building elevator waiting for it to open when I heard some loud banging noise from behind. I turn around to find nothing and face back to the closed elevator door. Again I hear the noise go off. Now I was getting paranoid and just wanted the damn door to open, but hell it was taking a lifetime.

I see a man, dressed in all black also wearing a black mask. It looked like the man was walking in my direction and I was about to get in my defensive mode when the door opened in right time and swiftly I got in and pressed the floor of the house. What was that?

I got on the floor in no time and made my way inside. Chris was already in the kitchen, heating up the food.I guess he heard the door close because he turns around to face me. I saw he had his face scrunched up due to some trouble but gives out a smile. I nod to him and drop my bag and coat on the kitchen counter and head to have somewater.

As of now we were done with the dinner and the plates; Chris was sitting on the couch with his laptop and somepapers, his eyebrows narrowed and forehead had a frown. I sat on the other couch with my phone in my hand, as I was texting Lina. We were exchanging about the latest updates on each other's life.

Moments later I hear Chris grunt in frustration, "fuck this." I couldn't help but get concerned, "you okay?" He clears up papers and closes his laptop, "yeah", runs his hands on his face. I saw him facing at the ceiling looking like thinking something for a second and turns to me, "Would you like to go for a ride with me?" "You mean a longdrive?", oh my god my mouth was so freakin quick to speak out my thoughts.
