Hailey Robinson

I glance down at the tulle in my hands, anxiety running down through me making my hands shake a little.

Apparently, 'The Xavier Romano'- as Chris had said- dad had a man-to-man or should I say father-in-law to son-in-law talk, dad gave him a green signal and with his and Lucas' help arranged the lake house trip and the rings. No wonder both our rings had my birth date engraved.

According to Nick, Chris had a warning from my dad as follows 'a single tear in my daughter's eyes and I will build a personal hell for you right here on the planet.' No wonder Nick was scared shitless of my family at first, but hey all of them now get along fine. In fact more than fine.

A month later of proposal, we had fixed the date for our wedding. I wanted some more time but Chris was impatient so we made it to a month. Chris' mother had tears in her eyes when we finalized the date.

Lina and Jenny helped me pick up my wedding dress. We were going by traditions to certain extent. I had given a clear ultimatum to Chris that we will straight away meet at altar, no pre-wedding photo shoot or no meeting each other the day before the wedding day.

I was standing in front of the full length mirror, in my wedding dress with hair and make-up all set. The tulle in my hands was freaking me out. In an hour or so, I'll be marrying Chris, Christopher James Langford. I'd be his wife.

The word 'wife' was giving me butterflies. Though there were other things I'd been feeling lately. Various emotions were running through me like horses on a race track, probably still in order but wild.

The door to my room opens and Scarlet walks in with a smile on her face after glancing up from the phone in her hand. Scarlet- Lucas' one true love- according to Lucas himself. "Do yo need help with anything?" she asks.

"Yes, Can you help me fix the tulle?"

"Yeah, sure. Take a seat on the stool."

I sit back and let Scarlet do her work. While she was pinning up she says, "Do you know Chris is so impatient waiting for you to walk down the aisle." I chuckle, offcourse he was impatient and when he was impatient he goes moody as hell. Though I was determined to put him at misery.

"Here, done" she says. I glance at the mirror to see myself ready to be wifed. I thank her and ask her to send my dad in.

Dad walks in and tells me the same, "I saw him bouncing on his toes, he looks impatient." I laugh, "You people are misinterpreting him, he is just excited I guess." Dad hums and walks near me.

"My child, you are looking beautiful. The very same woman I always see in your mother ."

"Thank you", I say after gulping down.

"You have no clue how happy I am. I may not have been a part of the first 23 years of your life but getting the privilege to walk you down the aisle makes my life complete. I feel like the purpose of my life has been served."

"Dad, you'll still have me as the daughter I was meant to be."

He places a small kiss on my forehead, though covered with the tulle. "Ready?" he asks, extending his elbow. I grab the bouquet and sigh happily yet with a hint of nervousness, "Yes."

Chris Langford

Romano wasn't kidding when he said that he'll make our wedding- 'wedding of the year.' Though as per Hailey's request it wasn't extravagant but the decor still screamed rich. The gazebo where the pastor was going to make us exchange our vows was decorated with flowers in some rich shade of royal purple and maroon wine.
