"You are?" Stefan asked. His eyebrows were raised curiously.

Of course he wouldn't remember me, why would he? I'm just his sister that he abandoned right? His hair was chocolate brown & his eyes were a mesmerizing  shade of green. He looked so clueless just watching me. I immediately straightened up my posture & spoke up.

"Sorry to bother you but my car won't start & I was wondering if you knew anything about cars?" I asked innocently. Of course he knows about cars & engines, he was always fascinated with fixing & building things. Growing up he always like looking at models of different carriages, even wagons. He was always good with mechanical stuff. I know that's not the same to what I'm driving now but, anyways. He sent me a friendly smile as his eyes traveled over my body. I felt nervous. I wondered what he was thinking.

He was simply wearing a dark blue shirt with nice fitting jeans. Who would have thought he would have grown up to have somewhat of fashion sense?

"Uhhh, yeah let's take a look." He said, snapping me out of my thoughts. I lead him to my car, as he followed slowly behind me.

"You're  a vampire." He said, I nodded.

"Yes I am." I said confidently. I went inside my car, opening the hood so he could see my engine.

"What brings you to Mystic Falls?" He asked, while focusing on my car.

"Just traveling." I said. I stood beside him, studying what he was doing.

"Seriously?" He asked.

"Yeah, why?" I asked. He leaned up, finally watching me. "Mystic Falls is not an exciting place people travel to." He said. That's true.

"I like it. My family's here so...yeah." I said, while forcing a smile. Looking into his eyes was hard. All I could see is deep childhood memories that I don't want to revisit. "I'm Stefan." He said, introducing himself. He extends his hand for me to shake.

Once he notices the black stain on his hands from touching my car, he quickly pulls his hand away. "Sorry." He said, laughing nervously. "It's okay, my names Alex." I said. I couldn't help but smile at how embarrassed he looked. "Nice to meet you, Alex." He smiles.

Our eyes locked, causing the smile to slowly fade from my face. What the hell is he thinking about? Is he on to me? Does he remember my scent?

"So ah, did you figure out what happened to my car?" I asked, trying to distract him.

"Oh uh, y—yeah." He rushed. He diverted his attention back to my car.

"I have good news & bad news." He said, while biting his lip.

Good news first." I said.

"I can fix your car, all it needs is a simple part." He explained.

"Bad news?" I asked.

"It's not going to be ready tonight, maybe tomorrow afternoon." He said. Oh gosh, I'm supposed to have you dead by tonight.

"Uhm, okay." I said slowly. What the hell am I supposed to do? I ran my fingers through my hair nervously.

"Who's this?" A voice asked from behind me. I turned around, noticing Damon standing behind me. If only looks could kill.

"This is Alex, she's just traveling." Stefan said, introducing me. When I sent him a small smile, I noticed his fake smile. His eyes were intimidating. Between Stefan & him, I knew he would definitely  be the first to find out the truth.

"Where'd you come from?" He asked, while walking closer to us.

"Italy." I lied. Once he was standing beside us & he got a more visible view of my face, his eyes narrowed suspiciously. "Your parents named you Alex?" He questioned. What a dick. Stefan slightly shoved him, while Damon shrugged indifferently.

"What a friendly way to greet someone." I said, sarcastically.

"I try." He said, smiling intimidatingly. Whatever.

"I feel like I know you from somewhere." He said, while watching me. Great.
