Author's Note: I know this chapter might be a little out there compared to what I usually write. I've seen the comments on other books I've written this in as requested by other readers before and some of them got a little under my skin.
I understand that it might take some people by surprise but all I ask is for you to remain respectful in my comments 🤗
I put a lot of hard work into this chapter. I tried to go into a lot of detail about the attack (not so much the injuries though, don't worry there) and I spent a lot of time trying to perfect it. I have a huge fear of water and sharks so I really put a lot into this 🙈
So please be kind and respectful. Thank you. Also, if you enjoy this, I got the request to write this for all nine of the girls so look forward to seeing it in my other TWICE books too 🥰 okay, enjoy!

You lay down on your beach towel and relaxed as the golden rays of the sun warmed your skin.
It's a beautiful day and you can't think of a better way to spend it than here at the beach with Dahyun.
Although you planned to go in the water eventually, it wasn't at this exact moment because you wanted to just bask in the sunshine and enjoy the warm weather for the first time in so long due to the harsh winter that had hit this year.
But your girlfriend was impatient.
"Y/N, come on," She begged and tugged on your hand. "Let's go swimming."
"Babe, I want to stay here for a bit."
You opened your eyes and saw the pout on her lips and you just sighed because she knew just as much as you did that you can never say no to her when she pouts at you so adorably.
"You can't go swim by yourself?" You whined though you were already sitting up.
"I could but where's the fun in that? We came here to enjoy the warm weather together! It'd be so boring to go swimming without you."
"Oh, alright, cutie."
She giggled before taking your hand and pulling you up from the beach towel.
With your fingers intertwined, you both ran for the water and burst into laughter as you were pulled out by the waves crashing on the shore.
"It's so warm. Almost like bath water."
"It feels so nice." She said before letting out a contented hum. "I could stay here forever."
As horrible as the winter had been between the snow, ice, and freezing cold temperatures, going through it didn't seem as bad now that you were able to enjoy this beautiful day.
You leaned back and practically floated in the water while Dahyun splashed around and occasionally went under.
A few peaceful moments went by before you opened your eyes and realized that you had drifted away from the shore quite a bit.
You were a good distance away from Dahyun at this point but because she was having so much fun she hadn't even noticed that you weren't by her side anymore.
You cursed quietly and felt a slight rush of fear come over you because even though you didn't mind the water, you didn't like being out this far.
You turned around and started to swim towards Dahyun but out of nowhere, something bumped against your leg.
At first, you thought it might be someone who had decided to swim out further and stayed beneath the water as they swam and didn't realize they were so close to someone else.
