Graduation is here. The girls are happy. Well, except for Angel. She had to follow Lance on the night of prom not because she was in love with him but because it was the right thing to do or so she thought. Her mom would've found out, and things will get messier than it already is. 'She did that to protect Tristan' she keeps telling herself.
Tristan wanted to just leave this place already. Things are rough on his side already and moving seems to be the only thing that could make it better and his moving was very close.
He got accepted into the University of California, Irvine. It was like a dream for him, so much happiness. This opportunity will change things for him.
Angel on the other hand was accepted into Manhattan's College, Harrison in New York. City girl, theater arts. She has always wanted to be a star and a star she'll be.
Tristan was packing already, his stuff and Jamie's. Jamie was moving in with Austin and Tristan was moving to California. How fast the night changes.
Families, friends, neighbors all present. The beautiful blue and yellow color of East High everywhere, banners, flyers and graduation gowns. This was the dream. High school will be officially over in less than 12hours. And in two months time, those heading off to college will be off, the ones that prefer military school will be off, the models, the influencers, all other career paths. Will begin.
"Are you serious right now? A ballet dancer? Cherry you don't even know how to cheer during football practice, now you wanna be a dancer? No, a ballet dancer?" Angel rants in confusion. The girls were at a diner, having lunch together while they chit-chatted about their future. Cherry seems to suddenly be interested in ballet dancing after watching some kid dance in the streets and was recognized by one of the biggest agent in town, and now thinks that is her path too and is going for audition the coming month.
That is going to be a disaster because she barely knows how to move her hips or legs or obviously her brains to think she could make a career in dancing. But that was typical Cherry, always making stupid decisions.
Hailey of course got into a University in the states for some science stuff. That's Hailey alright? Angel was pursuing her career in theater. From plays in the school to lead roles as Juliet to becoming a star in Broadway. That was her plan.
They laugh over some stupid things they did back in school to how they've grown. But the best part of Angel's High School was Tristan.
One might think that distance and the time they've spent apart will make them less in love but in reality, it was the opposite. Tristan still hoped to be with her regardless but he knew right now was the wrong time. But what if he was too late in the coming future? What if her marriage with Lance goes through and they do it? There were many what ifs. But the only thing that matters right now is securing the future, his future.
Some groups of students came to sing, the cheerleaders did their last routine as High School cheerleaders, and finally the main event of the day began.
Calling names, those who graduated, the parents were very proud and happy.
After that, they started taking pictures, live streams and so on.
"Say cheese..." Angel's Mom sings as she snaps Angel and her friends. Angel just rolled her eyes and tried to smile.
For a while now her relationship with her Mom has been rocky. Not after what had happened but she still remains her mom regardless.
Angel was getting her car back after graduation and she'll be able to use the credit cards. But no Tristan, this particular rule was not to be broken on any occasion.
Austin, Jamie and Nathan were here too. They were his only family. The day was still busy and crowded when Tristan noticed that Angel was alone, he quickly tried to use the opportunity to talk to her, tell her anything and maybe tell her he's leaving.
As he takes some steps forward, someone quickly rushes over and hugs her. It was Lance. Yes, he was there to support her but that ruined Tristan's plan. He stood there, staring at them like a kid begging for candy.
"I gotta do this" he whispers to himself but as soon as she took another step forward, he saw the one person that hated him the most and that was his cue to turn around.
Seeing Angel smile and be with his friends and of course Lance, makes him question the hope he had earlier and have second thoughts. Is he just being delusional? He decided to leave the question for another but today is his graduation, so he's having this.
Jamie gets to remain here but with Austin. So school won't be a problem for him.
