They felt like they were floating, the whole world was quiet and it was as if they were alone. Tristan's hands made a map on her cheeks, it sent shivers through her body and goosebumps were eager to embrace her skin coldly.
Zhilan noticed the chemistry between them and she smiled, she tried to speak but she wasn't audible enough for the two strangers that were still arguing. "Guys!" She snapped and all of them turned to look at her, even passersby.
"God! You guys don't even know each other and you're already fighting and Angel, please let's sit or something. My legs ache from this shoe and I'd like to FaceTime my boyfriend right now. Thank you!" Zhilan snapped and they all looked at her surprise as she stomped off to the car.
"Wow!" Nathan whispered. "Yeah. That's so unlike her" Clarissa replied. "Well it's your fault" Nathan says. "How dare you..." and they were arguing again. "Wow...you're beautiful" Those words came out of his lips before he could even register them in his head. He opened his eyes shockingly and quickly cleared his throat. Clarissa felt her cheek burn. Am I blushing? Ew. Don't blush, he's annoying the voice in her head says. She quickly hides her expression. "Well, obviously" she rolled her eyes.
Angel and Tristan laughed at something they were saying. Tristan wanted to ask about Lance or maybe someone else but that would ruin their current moment. She'll probably tell him when she's ready, he thought.
They exchanged numbers and were ready to drive off.
Nathan: "I don't want to see her again"
Clarissa: "I don't want to see him again, he's just so annoying" they both complained.
Tristan kept smiling ear to ear throughout the night, he could barely sleep at all. Angel shared the same feelings.
"Wow! You're so in love" Zhilan says, coming out from the bathroom. It was midnight and Angel wasn't asleep. She smiled at Zhilan. "Well, I don't know why I feel strange, happy, Uh, I have this feeling in my stomach I can't explain and I'm overly excited at the same time" she replied. Zhilan smiled, shaking her head. "That's love my girl. You better sleep, we have early class tomorrow" she draws the covers over her body and switches off her lamp side.
Forever later, Angel finally dozes off. With Tristan in her mind.
Morning quickly came and it felt like Angel slept for just five minutes. "Is it morning already? I literally just closed my eyes" she whines and stretches. The rest laugh at her. "Well I can't say the same for me. I slept like a baby" Clarissa smiles. "Clarissa, you sleep like a baby every night" Zhilan comments and they chuckled. "Well, this beauty needs to be pampered" she gestured to her body. "Very true," Zhilan replies, referring to herself in the mirror. Clarissa and Angel looked at her then burst into laughter.
Angel's phone dings. A notification came in. "Ooh that must be Tristan. You never get a notification this early" Zhilan says. Angel rolled her eyes at them. She read the contents of the message and as she tapped her phone she was smiling like a baby. She didn't realize when Clarissa snatched the phone from her.
"Good morning Angy. Wow!!!! He even calls you with nicknames" she sings and handed her the phone back quickly before Angel killed her. They all laughed and Angel was really excited.
Tristan texted her and asked if they could meet somewhere and catch up on old times and she replied yes, almost immediately.

During practice, Angel had a smile plastered on her face throughout. They were rehearsing an assignment and even where she was supposed to be sad, she couldn't help smiling.
"What is going on Sarah?" Mrs. Joan asked Angel, referring to her stage name for the play. "Oh I'm sorry Mrs. Joan" she composed herself and got her head in the game.
"So you guys are hanging out. Well, did you ask if she is with someone else?" Nathan speaks from the kitchen. "No. I mean I didn't want to-you know ruin the moment or something" Tristan replied as he set the table for lunch.
"Yeah, or something it is," Nathan says softly. "I heard that!" Tristan shouts back.
"I have to know today. That's why I asked her out for dinner. I need to know before I return to California" he added, placing the plates and serving the food. Nathan joined and helped him. "Be careful man. I just don't want to see you hurt yourself again. Remember what happened previously" Nathan advised. He nodded. Of course he can never forget what happened, her mother happened. "But this time things will be different. I am different and if there's even a chance of us being together? I'll take it and as long as she wants the same thing then nothing will happen like before" he quickly defends. Nathan smiled and nodded. "You have my full support," he replied. "Thanks man". They ate the food Nathan made and it was shockingly nice. "Wow, since when do you cook?" Tristan dips the food in his mouth and moans. "Took some lessons from YouTube." He replied, enjoying the food too.
