Lucy Blanc stared out of the window, sighing and holding a magazine in her hand. Her husband was late at work, and her two children were playing 'Will the knight save the princess?'. Lucy flipped through the magazine, scoffing at every page.

"It's scandalous!" said the page, and Lucy agreed, but perhaps not for the same reasons as 'Off script'.

Lucy sighed. Being a good mother and wife was hard, obviously, but how can anyone trust each other with this magazine at work? She didn't want her children to grow up and learn to mistrust each other. Then again, it was the same with The Canterbury's, The Nolan's....in fact, every parent wanted what was best for their child.

There was always a mystery for everyone to uncover. For the Wilsons, it was their family heirloom. For Mrs. Turninghum, it was her cats. But town mysteries are hard to come by.

The people of Brooks have had a simple, peaceful life...until a certain magazine came out which created a buzz among the citizens. The magazine was named 'Off script' and it had a reputation with its name. The most scandalous secrets of the people were revealed to the town by a pseudonym called Lady A. People were careful who to tell their secrets to but that didn't stop people from reading. In all honesty, people were desperate for something to talk about and Lady A was a perfect topic. Many have tried to uncover the identity of Lady A, some even believed that it was man, but they're efforts to find the person responsible of such gossip was unsuccessful.

Then one day....it just stopped. The magazine stopped printing which left people with a burning question. What happened? Why did it stop? Who was responsible?

A decade passed, no one knew why 'Off script' stopped and nobody cared. Everyone was happy that the town was trustworthy again. But deep down, Lucy Blanc, wife to Derek Blanc, mother to Daniel and Lily Blanc, knew one thing.

Pasts like these always have a way of coming back.
