"The so-called great Lady A...writes her outrageous lies...in a warehouse?" asked Lily. "Yes mom...we'll be careful...seriously...it's just a school project...I'm with my responsible cousin. Alright...bye...love you too!" Noah ended the call with his mom and stared at the warehouse like the rest of the group. "Well, I'm really cold so I'm going in" muttered Jessie but Daniel stopped her. "I'll go in through the main door" Josh announced. "Meanwhile, I'll sneak through the undetected passageway with Lily, Daniel and Jessie. The rest of you will go through the other path and we'll meet at the entrance hall. We'll ALL go together and get into the office" Luke said.

"Keep your phones silent. But remember to keep your walkie talkies on. The code is..." Lily said. "Near to the lion's den if we're near the office. If we see a guard it's flying monkeys" interrupted Janet. Lily noticed she looked slightly pale. "You alright?" she whispered. "I'll be fine when this is finished" Janet confided softly. Jessie gave Luke and Josh a look that said, it would be nice if you could leave because this conversation is none of your business. Josh frowned and walked closer to the passageway with Luke.

"I don't mean to sound cheesy, but if this is it...I want you all to know...that you can take my joke books and badge collection. We came this far with this mystery and most of you have known me for a long time..." Jessie said. Annie muttered, "Yeah, that is cheesy"

"Like Jessie said, this is it. We've had enough of Lady A trying to ruin Brooks. We end this, we end this tonight" Janet said. They were proud of Janet's bravery and courage and took it to heart. With determined nods, they turned to Luke and Josh.

They were ready.

Josh opened the large door and went inside the warehouse. Luke led them to a passage on the right side. Taking a deep breath, they went inside. A few minutes went by as they walked. The passage had dull lights on either side. Everyone stayed silent until they came to a fork. Daniel held her sister's hand comfortingly. "We'll see you soon..."Annie refrained from adding 'I guess' at the end. "This is just like the movies...the heroes always wins" said Noah firmly. "This isn't the movies. This is real life!" said Lily. "We'll be fine. The police weren't able to do what we could. Thanks to the mayor, they're searching around New York. We can outwit her...we just...need to trust each other and stick together" Daniel said.

"You're much better at hope speeches" Janet remarked. "Let's get going!" Luke hissed. Gathering up as much courage as they could, the group split up.

One thing was on everyone's minds.

They hoped they could see each other again.
