It is a sad but known fact that war is the nature of all sentients.
No matter how one could rephrase it, throughout all the multiverses, and the ever expanding edges of the Universe, conflict shall always be the common nature of all sentient life within the Universe.
Be it even if they are pacifists, hiveminds, xenophiles, xenophobes, or even AI, all have experienced some form of war throughout either their history or shall experience it within their future.

The scale of our Galaxy is massively underestimated. While each alien empire and civilization believes it only to be more than a 100,000 lightyears due to an unknown phenomena causing light and nebulae to distort our perspectives, our sentry arrays and our observatories, it is in truth, nearly 2 million lightyears long, housing more than 20 trillion stars, and 28 trillion systems.
While many believe the Galaxy to house millions of alien empires, there exist hundreds of billions, perhaps even entire trillions of xeno civilizations that have taken to the stars and begun exploring and expanding within the expanse of space.
And the United Terran Federation is one of them, yet at the same time stands out like a sore thumb.

Allies with a fallen/awakened empire, mastering and even embracing the anomalous, vowing to protect the life of all sentients, yes.
One could say they are very different.

The United Terran Federation has completed her great rebirth, and she now stands anew, having forgotten her dark and divided past.
Though that was at least what the government was calling it.
The erasure of her history could be considered somewhat Orwellian, though it was inevitable. They would eventually clash with their own history, and it seemed that fate made her people burn it all to the ground.
Oh sure, they still might have some historical gems and names and all that may remind them of some parts of old, but all of them simply existed for pure symbolism.

Still, they have kept many old traditions and norms such as the Gregorian Calendar and many European, American, Asian and African cultures having merged together due to their rapid expansion and growth, with the anomalous somehow also being weirdly integrated into their cultural background.

New changes and developments have come to the Stellar Allied Treaty Organization, the war with the Viltrumites, and their status as a superpower within their region of the system.

Viltrum has finally fallen.
The Empire has finally surrendered.
Yet the peace is only temporary.

The Battle of Viltrum commenced on September 21, 2268, after all surrounding systems fell either to rebellion or liberation.
Hundreds of army groups and battlegroups came knocking on the planet's door and fought a battle that lasted nearly an entire week, yet which resulted in the arrest of nearly two hundred pureblooded Viltrumites and the announcement of their capitulation.

The plans that the Stellar Allied Treaty Organization for the post-war era were finally being instated.
After being liberated or achieving victory over their Viltrumite overlords, a total of 15 new xeno civilizations and nations have been formed, with the Viltrumite Empire now shattered, and debate ongoing on what was to become the fate of the last Viltrumites.
It was revealed that during the war, more than a dozen Viltrumites had either defected, surrendered, become informants, or collaborated with the Alliance.
In a style highly reminiscent of the Nuremberg Trials, each Viltrumite, depending on their actions during the war whether they had committed war crimes, collaborated, or played no part, would either face execution, temporary imprisonment, or integration and monitoring.
Those who had committed mass atrocities were to be thrown into a black hole. Those who had played no part, and committed no atrocity were to be spared, yet confined to live a life on their homeworld. Those who had collaborated were allowed a new life, and due to their warrior culture, were likely to become a part of a military force, with some on the Federal Council keen on having some Viltrumites become part of a mobile task force.
While there were protests about these sentencings, all in the alliance knew that even one Viltrumite on their side could pose a powerful weapon, but due to their extreme similarity to the human race, most have been keen on requesting integration with the United Terran Federation, and many have already seen slightly successful acceptance by the Terrans.
