After finding about Areum lack of parental figure, Jin made sure to be the best older brother he could be. Being the youngest in his own family, Jin knew the importance of having reliable, loving older figures in life and his goal was to be someone Areum could rely on and talk to when in need. With Areum being so young when joining BTS, he basically taught her life lessons and skills like cooking, driving, cleaning, etc.
Areum loves Jin and admires him a lot. She constantly listens to his solo tracks like Epiphany, Awake and Moon, finding comfort in his soulful voice paired with the meaningful lyrics that he wrote. Areum also admires Jin ability to be confident in his appearance and self despite being introverted. Areum also knows about Jin self-consciousness about not being as good as the others which she strongly disagrees with due to his stunning visuals and soulful voice. She loves to cover his songs on her v-lives and has played them on the piano many times.
Jin also understands Areum's struggle with mental health, he basically ends up being her psychiatrist and someone she can comfortable let her emotions out. Jin would take care of her like a little sister, he drove her and Jungkook to school, buying and making her meals and helping her through homework. Areum also loves his dad jokes as her father never was much of a joker.
