Min Yoongi aka SUGA
Suga and Areum are often attached to the hip, relying on each other mentally and physically. Both of them have experienced very similar things growing up and with Yoongi being older, he wants to make sure she doesn't make the same mistakes he did. All of Bts are very close with each other, but these two have a very special connection.
Suga treats Areum like the little sister he never had. During their trainee years, Suga would allow Areum would to his dorm or studio as she felt quite lonely in the girls dorm due to them already being in a group about to debut. Also when they were trainees, Suga would also buy them both food as he knew about her families issues with poverty which he sympathised with. Nowadays, Areum still hangs out with him whether it is in his studio or sleeping together.
When Areum was younger and her parents were working she would go and check out the underground rapper, after seeing Suga and realising he joined BigHit she joined as well. When felt like leaving BigHit as she felt like she wasn't going to debut or wasn't as good as everyone else there but after learning about how similar Suga and her situation is, she realised that Suga kept persevering so that's what she decided to do. She also admires Suga's ability to write such truthful lyrics and beats. There are many compilations on Youtube of Areum admiring Suga. Areum also feels like she can trust Suga with everything, she often ends up telling him about her struggles with mental health and music. Once, when Areum was in her darkest times, she really felt the urge to overdose on sleeping pills to kill herself, she ended up running and crying to Suga to which he listened and comforted her.
Both of them can be seen as the more reserved side of Bangtan but both have a soft spot for each other and the group. Areum and Suga are both great producers separately but put them together, amazing music is produced. At a point in her trainee years, Areum felt like her singing wouldn't get her in a group so she ask Suga if he could teach her how to rap which he agreed to her. Both wrote and sang 'So Far Away' which was in Agust D's album 'Agust D'
