38. Arrow heart

Next day I was called into the court for the procedure. Y/N was still in the operation theatre but the police officers were not allowing me to go anywhere. Since the last twelve hours I was stucked.

Jimin was sitting on the bench with Namjoon because they wanted to support me in the courtroom and stand out as witnesses for the shootout.

I was constantly thinking about Y/N. I was so worried and my heart was beating like crazy. I wanted to go back and see what was the progress.

Slowly the courtroom got filled with people. When the judge arrived the case started getting recorded with every single evidence that were needed. Yubin was called in the square from where she threw daggers of glares on me.

But more than her, I wanted to kill her in that very moment.

Jimin gave his statement then Namjoon. Proofs were already submitted. Judge checked those evidence, he went suspicious of her but still didn't concluded the matter. Moreover, her defense lawyer was also a good one that made it hard to find her guilty without involving Yoongi Or Taehyung, which I didn't wanted.

Finally I was called into the square. The defense lawyer looked at me and said," You were engaged in an extra martial affair with my client. Doesn't that signify that you were cheating on her and when she came to know about it, you tried to trick Ms. Hyun into it because you are greedy for Min's property?"

I scoffed. "I was. But the breakup had nothing to do with Y/N. Yubin went off limits and tried to do things on her own, so we parted."

"You see Mr. Jeon, you were the one controlling her. As a women she wanted an official name to your relationship and which woman won't want it? But you slapped her." He turned to the judge and said,"My Lord, it's a case of patriarchal dominance. He abused her and even threatened to kill her. As a woman you know how hard it is for models to survive in the industry but Mr. Jeon used his connections and cancelled all the works and projects under my clients name."

My blood boiled of how that lawyer was using woman empowering in his favour to reduce the punishment but not in my presence.

" I would like to say something, your honor." She gave me the permission and I said," I really love my wife. I admit my fault but as soon as I realized that I broke every barrier which dragged me away from her. She is my life but due to some misunderstandings Yubin tried to manipulate her brother and friend to get rid of me, just with scaring."

I clenched my fists and stared into her eyes. "But she went out of the limits as the revenge dangled in her eyes. She was about to kill me and saw my death but before it Y/N came in between. S-She took the bullet for me."

At this point I was in tears biting my lips to suppress the sobs although it wasn't possible. Pressing my palm over the mouth I sobbed few times, not minding she said," It's a drama. He never cried for anyone. He is manipulating everyone."

"Order! Order!" The hammer was banged when Yubin shouted in the courtroom." You cannot speak on your own. I hope the lawyer keeps their client under the rules and regulations of the courtroom." The defense lawyer apologized and the procession continued with other eye witnesses.

During the short lunch break, I was impatiently walking across the room. Jimin pulled me down and handed me a coffee. "You better wait for the final decision after this break. It's complicated." Namjoon nodded and said," She got the best lawyer in Seoul and it might get tricky. We can only hope for justice."
