Feno's arrival had me wondering why a wood elf came by and introduced himself. And how does he know where I live?

I don't think anyone knows me apart from the Blue Moon Pack. I didn't have many friends when I traveled back. The only friend I wanted was...

Now, why am I thinking about Dominic? Since our earlier encounter, I don't think it's the right thing to have him back in my life. I promised myself to avoid the guy at all cost, but somehow fate wants to be a pain in the ass. I should hate him. I want him to die after he killed me that night for being framed by that bitch Leah. I know it's her who killed that young wolf just to have the whole pack, especially Dominic, loathe me more.

But I couldn't have the heart to do so. Hating Dominic and getting revenge on the pack which I grew up with isn't what I wanted. I didn't have the heart, and instead of being a public enemy to the werewolf community, I left.

I return my sense to the tiny creature sitting in the middle of my couch. I never expected a guest let alone a wood elf coming to my doorstep looking for me. I invited him in and had Takkar serve his herbal teas he grew from his garden. Now, this tiny wood elf is enjoying his tea, not saying a word. The silence is killing me. Why would a wood elf come looking for me?

And how does he know my name?

I never meet an elf; this is the first time I have met any other supernatural beings here. I don't think other creatures like him would know a person like me who would instead enjoy her tea and relax. Though my life now, I will never experience that when a fucking demon fog is on the loose, creating havoc. I already planned out my life after I was brought back one year before my death. Leave the pack, break up with Dominic, find a quiet and peaceful place to call home - where two demons are trapped in a seal - then take in a teenage Jaguar shifter from Brazil, adopt a Dire wolf, and raise a gentle ogre who loves to garden.

Yeah, life seems sort of peaceful. I didn't expect other events to happen in my quiet life. Now I got myself in a situation that I can't escape from.

I just want to enjoy a quiet life, is that too much to ask?!

"That is one good tea! I needed that coming here," he exclaims, wiping his mouth and smiling.

"Well, I'm glad it's to your liking," I take the cup from him and hand it to Takkar. "But you aren't just here because of the tea?"

Feno stand straigten his tunic. "Yes, I apologize, but I came here as fast as I could to meet you, Lady Carter."

"Whoa," I hold my hands up. "Being too formal like that is too weird. You can just call me Lippy."

"Okay, Lippy. I came here to see you because I need your help."

I lift a brow and look at Camila and Kaze, who are as confused as I am. "What do you mean, my help?"

"I saw what you can do with those monsters from the black mist."

"The black mist?"

"Yes," the little elf lowers his head. "It happened a few weeks ago. I live in a small village with other wood elves and creatures deep in the woods, away from the humans and other creatures that could harm us. We lived in harmony and peaceful place until one night, the Black Mist came."

I crossed my legs and knew precisely where this story goes. I listen in to Feno's story."Anybody who touches the Black Mist becomes hysterical and corrupt." His tiny hands curl up in a fist, and his shoulders shake. "I watch my friends turn into something I have never seen before. I witness them attacking us without a sense of who they prey upon. I couldn't do anything and left my village to find help." He lifts his head, and his eyes are teary. "Then I saw you at that wolf pack. I watched you save those two wolf pups from being consumed by the Black Mist. When I was about to give up hope, I found you. You can save my village."
