"Why does everything good come to you?" Leah spoke in a rasping voice. It seems she gains consciousness but afterward, nothing else.

"Princess," I turn my head towards Jippes. "The seed is feeding off her deep hatred towards you. The more she feels that way, the more the seed consumes her, and she would eventually die."

"If there a way for me to extract the seed without hurting her?" I ask, hoping that the Angel of Death has a plan, then I wouldn't have a backup plan.

Jippies approaches Leah's body lying on the floor. His whole body levitates and hovers over her. He extends his hand out, and not being the only one who can see his power overflowing created a small portal over her heart.

"Damn, Demon magic is sure scary," Clayton commented, then his body shivered. "Please don't let him see inside of me."

"As if he would," Camila scoffed.

"He can't, but maybe you can," he winks at her. Camila groans and rolls her eyes.

After a few minutes, Jippiess returns to me and lowers his head. "Princess, her life is about to be shortened if not pulled out quickly."

"Do you think you can extend her life since you know your Azrael?"

He shakes his head. "I don't have that privilege to go against fate. This young she-wolf had done a great sin and harmed a lot of people, including you."

"She only did that because she collided herself with Demir," I'm not saving her because it's the right thing to do. Sure, she did many things to get to the point of turning to lycan and attacking the Elders only because she wanted Dominic's affection. I don't want her to save her, but everyone here thinks I'm such a bitch if I don't.

I groan and remove my mask to catch a breath. Scratch the back of my neck in frustration. "Shit."

"Princess? If I may."

"Go ahead, Jippies."

"Since you have the same power as Lady Maple, light magic can destroy the seed." He suggested.

I cross my arms. "Wouldn't that kill her?"

"If not with my help, it would."

"I thought you said you can't use your powers on a dying person," I arch a brow, puzzled.

Jippies bow and place his hand over his heart. "For you, I will do anything."

"Jippies," I relax my shoulders in disbelief. "I appreciate it but wouldn't it cost your life going against fate."

"It's a risk I'm willing to take." Although I could not see his eyes hiding under that cloth, he lifted his head his voice seemed to convince me.

But I'm still feeling doubt, and I don't want the Angel of Death to lose his life over saving one person for me.

"Lippy," Dominic gently grabbed my hand as he stepped in front of me. "I know Leah has a lot of evil things. I know you two aren't the best of friends."

No doubt.

"But, you aren't the type of person to just let her die because of a dispute with each other. I already asked you to save her so she can face pack punishment once we return." He then took my other hand and held them affectionately. "Please, save her."

The warmth of his hand sent temptation and tingles that are still a mystery to me. In my past life, none of this ever happened. The first time we held hands was when we were kids, but male wolves don't sense their mate once they first shift. When I would cling to him, there was no feeling of an electrical spark, and it made me think he was a late boomer or because I was considered not a wolf.
