"...ppy..."
I blinked my eyes upon waking up to Dominic's voice finally bringing me back. It felt like I had transitioned from the world of dreams to right now.
"Lippy?"
I rose and rubbed my head as I faced Dominic's eleven-year-old face. That adorable boy face I remembered and loved. Then I realized I was not in my nineteen-year-old body. I needed to be fully restored since Merkon had my pearl.
"Shit," I whisper.
"Lippy, are you okay?"
I turn and reach for him without answering his question. Hugging Dominic gave me the energy and confidence I needed.
"Lippy?"
I know Dominic seems confused that I'm back. I pull apart and smile. Once I open my mouth, I hear laughter coming from Merkon.
"It's adorable. Puppy love - human emotions are such an interesting thing. We demons don't feel that way towards another. We only think of who is stronger," he smirks. "But you both will be together after I get rid of you."
Dominic let out a growl and took a glitch forward, but I held him back. He looked at me, confused, as I got up and stood in front of Merkon.
"Well, what do we have here? Want to be first to die, Lippy?"
I built up the Spirit Realm essence in my hand. "No, but you will."
It made Merkon look baffled and not slightly intimated that I threatened him. He took a step closer until he was over me.
"Lippy, get away from him," Dominic grabbed my hand, pulling me, but I stayed in place.
I'm not afraid, especially of a demon like Merkon.
Merkon tilts his head to the side, staring at me. "Where did all that confidence come from? You were on the verge of death, then suddenly..." Merkon caught on as he backed away and shook his head. "No...it can't be. But how-"
Before he could finish, I blasted him with powerful energy unleashed from my hand. It sent him flying back, hitting the ground hard. Merkon lifts his head off the ground. That blast took a toll on him as if twenty people beat him up.
"What the hell was that?" He groans and then hisses as he holds the pain in his abdomen. He got up with less strength as he crawled away from me as I stepped forward. "It's impossible. I stole your magic. How are you this strong?"
I glance down at my trembling hand, giving a second thought to what Merkon said about the Spirit Realm's essence. The power is equal to that of demon magic. I don't know why that old man would give me something so powerful even I can't handle even in this body. But the feeling of using such power feels fantastic.
I clench my hand and look at Merkon's weak self leaning against a tree. He seemed drained, and the power had ready-made him look defeated.
"H-how..." he gasps a cough as blood escapes his mouth. "That power...I haven't seen that used...It's been 500 years! The only person who can use that magic against demons is...your mother."
Can my mother use this powerful magic?
Did the old man give me the magic to kill demons? I never thought there was such a power.
Judging by the way Merkon is looking, he doesn't look good. For someone who is a demon artifact and a high-level demon, there is a way for me to get rid of all the obstacles before I can defeat Demir.
"Who gave you that magic?" he asks.
"Don't worry about it," I drop at eye level. I watch his body starts to burn into ashes. The magic covered my hand as I extended my small hand to pierce through his body. I didn't need a knife to open him because once I grabbed what I needed, pull my pearl out from him. The diamond-pearl glowing on my hand, shining as bright as the sun. "I'll be taking this back."
