I open my eyes again to find myself in a different place, a different room. Only this isn't my room. It seems more like a dressing room; clothes hang, and makeup is scattered everywhere. In front of me was a large mirror; I rose, seeing my reflection. My face has been painted with makeup, not too heavy, just enough to see my natural look. My hair was let down into beautiful curls and decorated with flowers. I see myself wearing a lovely wedding dress, a simple dress with a long sleeve lace illusion off the shoulder, revealing my cleavage.

"What the hell is going on?" I whisper, shocked and confused. I remembered waking up seeing my parents together and Dominic taking me to school, then we kissed...then here I am as a bride.

A soft knock had me flinch, looking back to find my mother dressed in a lovely silk satin midnight blue petite gown. Her makeup was light, and her hair was down as well. She entered the room looking like a goddess.

"Look at you," she gasps, and her eyes start to water. "My baby is getting married. I'm...I'm..." she fans her eyes. "Sorry, give me a minute."

Mom opens her silver purse and grabs a tissue as she gently wipes her eyes.

She sniffles. "Sorry," she chuckles and crumples the tissue, "the moment you were born, I already knew you would do great things. On the Dean's list, top of the class, graduate with honors and a valedictorian and open your own business. Now you are marrying the most bachelor man in the world. I couldn't be prouder."

I did all that?

I don't remember any of that.

Is this even real? One minute I opened my eyes in my room, then next in a dressing room wearing a wedding gown.

Suddenly, I felt an electric ping through my mind as I let out a slight hiss. But I pretend like it never happened. I don't want my mom to worry about a slight headache.

I wasn't sure how this was happening because it was too fast to keep up. But seeing my mother smiling and crying simultaneously made my heart warm.

"Y-yeah, everything is happening so fast," I had to go with the flow and figure out what was going on.

Mom took my hand and had me sit on the chair I had initially been sitting on when I opened my eyes. She takes the chair next to me.

"I understand this is a whole new step for you in your life. A new chapter," Mom says. "Marriage is a big thing. You're about to marry someone with who you want to spend the rest of your life. But remember, not all marriages last long."

She reaches over to push a strain of my hair behind my ear. I smile but fade when I spot something moving in the corner of the room. I carefully look and see a spot that has become disoriented.

What the-

"But I'm not worried about your marriage with Dominic because I know how much he loves and cares about you." Mom pats my hand. "Just like your father. No matter my background, your father fought to have me in his life. That's what Dominic did for you. I know me and your father can entrust you to him. We have nothing to worry about."

I've always wished to have my parents at my wedding. Both of them walk me down the aisle and hand me to my husband-to-be. I know this is unbelievably real, but it seems natural. I start to tear up; mom reaches for a tissue and helps me wipe my tears away as we both chuckle.

A light knock had us stop as my dad stuck his head through the door.

"Is everything okay in here?" Dad stepped inside dressed in a dark blue tux matching my mother's gown.

"Everything is fine, dear."

"Wow, Dad, you look handsome." I complimented. I giggle when his cheeks heat up red.
