The Basilisk waved his tail whenever I stood, trying to hit me, but with my speed, I avoided it.

His tail every spot inside the cave, causing it to rumble. When he had enough of using his seat, he slithers his tongue out and bare his fangs, then darts his head towards me. His large head crash to the wall of the cave as I jump in time to throw my blade at the nap of his neck.

"Fuck," I growl as the cut on his neck only scraps him. I couldn't use the magic from the Spirit Realm because whenever I unleashed it, I felt exhausted, and my hand trembled from its massive power.

In theory, it's one-time use.

My body couldn't handle such powerful magic, and the only way to use it was because I was in dire need. I shouldn't use it for the ferals, but it was an emergency.

Time is running out. Dominic, Clayton, and I hit the snake for over thirty minutes. I don't know how long Arlo can last with the venom inside as long the Peach Pill is suppressing it.

"Master, look out!"

Before I could look, the monster's tail swung my way and struck me. I was sent back, hitting the wall, and the impact had me cough out blood.

"Lippy!" Dominic was quick to my side once I dropped to the ground. "Are you alright?"

Wiping the blood off my lips and looked up at Dominic's dirty and sweaty face. "I'm fine. Damn, this is going to be harder than I thought. Jippies! Take your siblings out of the cave."

"No! Master, I'm not going to leave you," Saye cries out.

"You will get in the way; now move it!" I didn't mean to be harsh, but they should stay outside if the Basilisk turns his attention on them.

LI knows Jippies is powerful, but I noticed he wouldn't dare hurt something that belongs to his sister. Before coming here, Jippies and Saye were uncomfortable hurting the pet of their sister, but Arlo, his behavior, I felt his anger. As Saye said, her twin admired their other two brothers, who Hexia killed. Of course, Arlo has kept his rage against his little sister inside for a long time. Two family members still care for their own, but one is against her and wants her dead.

I didn't want to get involved in a family dispute, but Saye and Arlo served me, and I had to protect them.

Jippies waved his magic and had the three of them leave the cave. Now that they are out of danger, it's time to face the Basilisk.

"Hey, Lippy," Clayton shows up in his human form and stands in front of us. "How the hell are we going to take down this guy? I mean, we've been fighting him longer than we fought Leah. When Leah was big, she wasn't this big. This guy can swallow a blue whale."

The Basilisk sneers at us and waits patiently while I devise a plan to get to its pearl.

I stand and gather the power from the Spirit Realm and can feel its building close to one hundred percent. "Dominic, Clayton, we need to stall the snake. The power from the Spirit Realm needs to recharge."

"Spirit Realm? There is such a thing?" Clayton ask.

"If you believed in Demon, then spirits are such things," Dominic answered.

"Aren't spirits like...ghosts?"

"No, ghosts are around with ominous presence or need to cross over, while spirits are associated with light; they are your guardian angels when in need of guidance." Maybe at Castle Luna de Argint, I heard a woman's voice who had to lead me to my mother's secret place.

Then that voice must be my mother. She must've been helping me since the beginning. She has been with me all this time.

The malicious basilisk hiss breaks away from my happy thought. The snake is growing impatiently since we are here to kill it, protecting his master. Then it raised its tail above and started slamming toward us. The Basilisk is creating a wave of his tail frantically.
