They keep coming. It's a never-ending cycle killing a demon. When one dies, another replaces it.
Leah is so much eager to have everyone here killed. She's the gate that needs to be close, and if those demons leave this castle, the world will be in chaos.
I will not let that happen.
After I crushed the heart of a demon with my bare hands, I took a moment to watch everyone fighting. I can see the Elders who have been retired for 500 years look crazy excited. They are going all out, showing their strength and skills while protecting themselves and each other.
So this is what they were five centuries ago. These are the true power of the Elders.
Amazing.
I know they powerful but not that powerful. They are equal strength with my parents. I guess that's what makes them the most powerful beings in the world.
In a blink of an eye, something fast passed by me. I turn to look and see a large black wolf crushed the head of a demon with its fangs. He turns his head, demon blood gushing out from his mouth as his gold eyes glow, and I knew instantly there is only one person whose beautiful and majestic brown eyes shimmer to that color.
Everything within me sends shivers down my spine. In a tender feeling as it waves throughout my body. It's like he's embracing me with his soul as it becomes one. I always deny it. I always wanted to stay far from Dominic, but this attraction keeps pulling me towards him like a magnet.
I have the urge to wrap my arms around his big neck and cuddle his soft fur. But I fought off those thoughts and stayed calm. I can never forget when Dominic first shift. I first engulfed myself in his warm body during a cold season. I didn't regret gathering berries through the storm but what made it more memorable was when Dominic rescued me as he used his body to shield me from the cold. His sweet and forest scent still lingers through my nose. It's something unforgettable.
"Lip...py...!"
After I'm lost in memory lane when it's about Dominic, I jump up after sensing a giant fist aiming towards and missing her target. Leah strikes her fists at me, and I continue to avoid them. Grab her wrist and threw her over me with all my strength. She lands hard on the floor, causing a shake.
"Had enough?"
Leah cried out a roar for another summoning. Four giant demons, with four arms, tusks that are sharp enough to pierce through any armor, bulkier, naked, and mean appeared. They almost look like pigs. She had summoned the Ravengers.
I've seen drawings of them in the demon books. Never expect them to see one up close. They are equal height as the ogre, but the difference is Ravengers are stupid but strong and can eat anything. I mean anything. They live in the far depths of the Demon World, full of the most dangerous creatures in the Dark Forest. They are like multiple baby rabbits, which almost populate the whole forest. It said the Demon King had them live in an isolated place with no outside world contact. They do nothing but eat. When they are hungry, they will eat the first thing they see, and they will eat the bones as well. The only way to stop them is to kill them. Those who had encounters with them never come out alive because they are eaten.
"I guess not," I curl my hands into a fist and position my stance for a different fight. It will take a while to get to Leah, so she had these idiots to stop me. Nothing was written about weakness because not many had killed one. The only one who could destroy a school of them was my father.
"Attack..." Leah commands as they come storming towards me all at the same time, sticking their tongue with such hunger in their black beady eyes. Like you haven't had food in months.
