Demir floated in midair, giving off an intimidating and menacing aura that even I, with two powerful beings running through my blood, couldn't handle.

His presence seemed too powerful. It could make me kneel right in front of him.

At least he came alone.

Suppose he were to bring his elite soldiers. I can't take them on.

The gloomy weather and the thunder roaring in the sky make this encounter even more alarming.

He was showing off like a true villain.

Looking over my shoulders, I could tell my friends struggled to bow before him.

Demir is half human and half demon. He should only gain this much power if the person behind his demonic essence is.

"It seems your servant relayed the message for me," I stood my ground and did not show any weakness against him.

After all, Demir looked more demonic than human. Grey color skin, long white hair hung over his chest, red iris over his black sclera, you can see through the hood.

He wore a long robe that reached the back of his legs but had an open chest area to show off his abs and dark markings that swirled around his body.

Demir looks dead than alive.

"Yes, I would like to thank you for taking care of Hestia," Demir flashed his white pearl-sharp teeth. "I was disappointed when she couldn't do her job right. Isn't that right, Hestia?"

What?

With a flick of his hand, Hestia was brought forth and shoved hard by Demir's magic.

She lies on the ground, covered in blood and burn marks. You can tell how much she suffered when she couldn't complete the mission.

How cruel to do something like this?

Of course, I made her that way, but Demir didn't have to go far and beyond to torture his servant. That shows how much of a villainous prick he is.

My hands curled at my side, itching to pick a fight with Demir, but I didn't want to risk involving my friends.

"When Hestia didn't return and report back, I figured she had failed," Demir began to say and waved his hand again, lifting Hestia off the ground with his magic. "I found her in a state where she had lost all her demon magic and become a human. Pry tell me, Calliope dear, did you do it?"

Demir is expecting that I have awakened an ancient power neither my Dad nor Demir possessed.

If he knew I was the one who removed Hestia's demon magic, his desire to obtain me would be great, and my friends' lives would be at risk.

This is a tough decision. If I were, my friends would get hurt, and I don't want that.

I look back at Dominic holding Michael standing inside the house as sadness sweeps my face.

I just got back Dominic in my life, and now we have Michael to raise together with everyone as a family.

It's a ten percent chance I would win against Demir, but I will get everyone here killed.

"Hestia!"

I look over to find Saye, Arlo, and Jippies all coming out. Arlo hangs himself against his brother, looking a bit better but should be in bed resting.

"Demir! You bastard!" Arlo cried, then coughed from his anger.

"Demir, let our sister go!" Saye demand.
