"Baby, you okay?" Dominic put the robe on me to cover.

I swallowed hard and continued to breathe. I looked up at Dominic and smiled. "Yeah, I'm okay." I cup his face and pull him into an embrace. "Nick, I'm so sorry. I didn't want to hurt you."

"No, I know you would never do something like this."

"I don't know what came over me," I pulled away and got off the bed holding the robe. "I felt...I felt that I was myself in the past."

"About that, Lippy." I can feel Dominic standing behind me. "I remembered that night. The night you..."

I covered my face and turned to face him. "Nick, I'm so sorry. I had no intention of doing that to you, but it was the only way you became mine. I was selfish."

Everything has brightened that speck of light at the end of the tunnel.

"And about you being reborn, did I-"

I cup Dominic's face. "Do think about it. Don't even question it. You were under a spell and didn't mean to kill me."

"But I did," he pulled down my hands. "I...killed you, Lippy. How-how can I live myself knowing you died by my hands."

"Nick, baby, it's not your fault," I assured him and squeezed his hands. "I never blamed you. Even when you killed me, I still loved you."

"Is that why you left the pack?" Dominic questioned, then gazed his eyes on me."Because you knew."

I nodded.

Without letting my hand, Dominic sat down on the bed and rested his forehead on my hands.

He sat quietly. I can hear my breathing heavily. I can only assume he's starting to doubt, or this was unreal to him. He needs a minute to conjure what happened to me in the past.

"Lippy," he breathed my name and lifted his head. "I'm so sorry. I'm sorry for my past self mistreating you and pushing you away, leading me to kill you."

Tears were running down his beautiful chocolate eyes.

I brushed his tears with a kiss and brushed his hair back as I embraced him. "You don't have to apologize. You and I did nothing wrong. I know it's killing you inside about my death, but look, I'm okay."

Cup his face and smile. "I'm alive and with you. Let us both forget the past and plan our future. Because that is what I wanted for the both of us now that Michael is in our lives."

Dominic closed his eyes, caressed his cheek against my hand, and gave himself a minute to process. He blew a heavy breath. "It's going to be hard to forget, but for you, I will try."

"Okay," I whispered, then bent down for a kiss.

It was just a peck as we dressed for the night instead of cuddling each other. Dominic had his back turned on the bed. I looked over my shoulder to find him awake.

The whole killing me has him on edge.

I wasn't sure if it was right for me to tell him, but after everything that had happened, it was too late for a cover-up.

I pulled the sheets over my shoulder and lay there staring at the wall the whole night until the next day.

The following day was awkward between Dominic and me.

I would try and hug him he avoided it, Dominic would leave when he was with the others, and I intended to start a random conversation.

I tried to get his attention, but nothing worked.

My secret wouldn't have been revealed if I had kept my mouth shut in a trance.

But Dominic would have found out any other way, and now he won't look at me or talk to me.

I threw fireballs at the target keep missing my shots. It would have been frustrating, but now, my mind is dealing with Dominic.

"You need to focus on your aiming, sweetheart."

I turn to find Dad.

I let out a groan and stopped training. I went to a flat rock and sat down - irritated.

"Are you and that boy okay?"

Dad went straight to the point.

I sighed and gave a white lie. "Yeah, why?"

"It seems not the case, my dear," he sat next to me, and I was starting to get eerie, not to mention the topic. "I promised not to hurt wolf boy, but since this morning, you two have been falling out."

"We are not falling out," I groaned.

"Then you aren't his mate."

I abruptly got up. "We are still meant to be."

"Then what is the problem?"

I pinch my lips, unable to answer my Dad.

"Lippy, I know I wasn't there when you had your first step or words. Your mother and I missed out on everything about you. I don't know what happened to you while living in a werewolf pack, but help me understand."

I slowly turned and faced my Dad, who was already standing before me.

I crossed my arms and sighed as I carefully explained my life in the Blue Moon Pack to my Dad.

Hey guys!

Sorry for the short chapter.

I'm here in Vegas to celebrate one of my uncle's birthdays and my cousin's wedding, which is next week. So I needed more time to update my stories.

I apologize and will get back on track the week after the wedding. Hopefully, I will be fine since it's almost Christmas, and I'll be busy with work and last-minute shopping.

Thank you all for your understanding, and have a safe and wonderful Christmas!
