For almost an hour, I had to rest my head on my office desk as I thought when Hexia gave the message to Demir, his arrival at my home would be unexpected.

From what I've learned about him. His body was destroyed, but not his pearl. My Mom took her own life to take down Demir, and the forbidden magic didn't do a thing for him.

Mom may have used powerful magic to risk her life, but Dad will not allow her to disappear.

I thought hating on my Dad for leaving me would linger inside, but when I asked Saye about my father not wanting to see me, I saw how nervous she was. It turns out she and Arlo knew the truth from me.

My Dad told them to keep this a secret from me so I wouldn't be involved in saving my mother. He would rather have his daughter hate him than help him.

If I knew then for sure, I would've helped. I don't understand why my Dad wouldn't help save Mom.

Now he's risking his own life to bring my mother back from disappearing, and he can't leave her side.

I asked Saye where my parents were, but she did not answer because she didn't know. All she and her brother know is the mission to keep me out of it and focus on my life.

So, in my past life, if I didn't leave the Blue Moon Pack and didn't meet the twins, I wouldn't know that my parents were still alive this whole time. They were hidden away from Demir this entire time, trying to recuperate.

I pull back, lean in my chair, and stare at the ceiling. After everything that happened once I left the Blue Moon Pack, I wouldn't have to know how much my parents risked their lives for one another and to protect me.

I groaned and hovered my arm over my eyes.

"Lippy?" I felt Dominic's presence as he steps into my office. "You okay?"

I also feel kinship energy as I remove my arm and see Dominic holding Michael in his arms, feeding him baby formula.

I smiled. "Yeah, I'm okay," I say as a sign escapes my lips. "I'm a bit nervous about Demir coming over once he got the message from Hexia."

"I'm pretty sure he did after you dealt with that demon and her pet. After all, you made her into a human. That is something your uncle will not appreciate."

"Honey, he's a demon." I remind him. "Unlike my dad, Demir's heart blackened after his mother died and blamed it on the people who betrayed him."

I told the whole story to Dominic after I saw through my memories. He wouldn't believe how much my parents had suffered because of Demir. I also had an obsession with my Mom. I felt pity for the man because all he wanted it love. Demir is half human and half demon and isn't treated equally as an underworld prince like Ruvik.

"Doesn't give him the right to become evil," Dominic sighed and sat on the couch in the office, tired from standing. Michael seemed to fall asleep in his arms.

He seems quiet than before.

Once we arrived back in the house, everyone heard the wailing cries of a baby inside the house. We rushed in and found Malik rocking the crying child; Kaze was on the floor, covering his ears. Takkar is hiding, unsure of what to do with the baby. As Scylla tries to sing a lullaby, even with her beautiful singing voice, Michael still cries even louder.

I thought leaving them with Michael could be a piece of cake since he had fallen asleep, but after being gone for the whole night and coming back the following day, it was harder for them to babysit.

But when I took the baby in my arms, he immediately stopped crying and let out an adorable yawn, nestling against my chest, trying to capture a boob from me.
