"What are you talking about?" Malik asks.

"Once Leah made a deal with Illim, she had her eat the root of the black tree." Alvin

"Black tree?" Bisera looks at her husband, who shrugs.

"Shit." I hiss after I knew what Alvin meant. "The black tree is known as the Wishing Tree. I know what he's talking about. Although it is called a Wishing Tree, once you eat the root from it, it can grant one wish and come true, but there is a price. To grant a wish, the tree needs an equivalent exchange, and it can be anything the wisher had desired. It is also the source of the miasma which makes you turn into ferals. My friends and I have been searching for it but could never find it."

"Ferals?" Questioned Vanessa.

"That's what I name them because they are much more worst than a rogue," I explain. "I've been searching for the tree."

When Arlo and Saye told me what they have found out, the reason why the miasma is flowing is that it's leaking from a Black Tree, a tree created by a demon with his blood. Grows in the soil and demon blood make it grow each day you feed it. Eating the roots from it turns you into a demon. I never heard such a thing until the twins told me. They explained that The Black Tree was once used five centuries ago. That was around the time of the Great War.

"That is because you won't," Alvin smirked; he licked his lips. "Lord Demir had it hidden away, so you can never find it."

"But Demir is dead. He disappeared five decades ago." Vanessa states, her eyes full of worries.

"Lord Demir was in hiding for 500 years to make a new plan, but his plan couldn't push further because of that woman."

"What woman are you talking about?" Vernon asks; he grabs his shirt, itching to strike at him. "You and that demon mentioned a woman but never say the name."

"You should ask that half breed," Alvin's eyes gaze toward me. "She knows who I'm talking about."

My heart is racing not of fear but worry and anger. Demir must have had told him about my mother. Alvin already realized because of my powers. I already told them who my parents were but never told them who my mother was.

Now Vernon had Alvin by the neck. "If you make a fool out of me, I will snap your neck." His eyes darken, and his voice hardens, then shoves him back. "Do not involve that child after everything she has been through."

"Why care of her now?" Alvin retort with a question. "You all were about to condemn her for a crime she did not commit."

The wind around Leah grew stronger as she lost herself from humanity. I got to think of a way to stop her before this whole castle collapsed.

"Why care? She has the blood of a demon!" Alvin continues to taunt. " It would've been easier for Lord Demir to have his hands clean, so I have you idiots do it for me. It would be better for her to die by your hands. But all of you had become soft just because she's the daughter of your dear friend...Boohoo...Leah, this is your chance. Kill the woman before you, and the wish you asked for will come true."

What?

"My wish...my wish..." Leah stopped chanting and slowly lifted her head. Her eyes are glued to me with such hostility. "My wish...my wish is to kill Lippy Carter and become Luna! Dominic is mine!" She let out an animalistic and might roar as her whole body released an explosion of her energy.

The blast had us pushed back as I looked over to find no Leah but a giant broadened wolf standing on two legs. It stood almost ten feet half hovering over us all. The eyes shimmer brightly, the nostril flares, and it reveals his fangs as a small gust of smoke comes out from its mouth. It grunts and huffs, puffing its chest. This is no ordinary wolf. The myth from stories and books had come to life. I thought its never possible, but here I am, looking at it face to face with a Lycan.
