CHAPTER 3: THE DEAL
SANDRO’S POV
“Kai will be your assistant during your stay here” pambungad ni Dad ng tinawag niya ako para sa importanteng sasabihin daw niya and hindi man lang nakapag hintay na makarating kami ng Norte. And considering that girl ang daldal niya she kept on calling me Alex.
“She will be key to help you in the campaign. You know well that you cannot speak Ilocano well, in Northern Luzon son they are all native Ilocanos.”

“Can you not choose any other PA pops? Besides Matthew and Borgy has a lot friends may kakilala naman ata siya.”

“No, Kai is the best one you can have trust me son.”

“But dad…” pagpupumilit ko parin.

“Okay lets have a deal then, you can choose another PA that you want if and only if Kai will be voluntarily resigning. But you have deal with the consequences son.”
“deal.”
Okay I think that’s better, I couldn’t bear being with Kai super daldal. And on the second thoughts its kinda tricky considering the way how dad thinks. Its frustrating as fuck, I want to return to London in an instant.

So this is how he live his life in the city? Party and girls mali ata ako ng hinangahan pero fishtea lang ha mahal ko na ang bansot nayan simula ng 5 years old pa lang ako nakakainis naman kasi talaga.

“Hi there pretty lady. I’m Jake, Sandro’s friend. Can I join you? If you don’t mind me asking what’s your name?
“ Kai Valdez, and kilala kita you’ve been in TV right? I am fan.

“Well I’m that famous huh? I’ve been bugging Sandro about you, so ano ka b ani Sandro?”

I didn’t expect that napaka straight forward naman nitong lalakeng tong. “uhmmm honestly PA niya lang ako sir.”

He raised his brows. “Too good to be a PA, tara doon sa table namin wala naman doon si Sandro.

“Easy there girl, Sandro might see you. Ah Kai do you have IG? Or Twitter perhaps?”

“meron sir Jake, I’ve been following your soc.med since 2014 kaya follow back naman po.” Natatawa kong sabi.

“oh,  I  see. Oh ayan na follow back n akita ha. Teka lets take a photo pang IG lang.”

He took photos of us, nagpasuyo pa siya sa waiter na napadaan lang. At tinotoo nga niya at naka tag pa ako.
He chuckled “ yeah sure, and can I have your number. You know incase Sandro is busy I can contact you.”

Its my eight or nine shot, may pumigil sa aking kamay. “ Sandro wouldn’t appreciate it if malasing ka.” If I’m not mistaken tanginaaaaaa. Baste Duterte.

He just looked at me. “ Hey dude can I have a bottle of water.”
Sa lagay kong to mukha ba akong lasing? As far as I know di naman mababa ang alocohol tolerance ko. While  Sandro had been keeping an eye on me, parang may nagawa akong kasalanan.

“Here drink this sobber up, I think he’s gonna kill me if I won’t leave you. And take this jacket ganyan ba talaga skin color mo ma’am.” Sabay abot ni Baste ng tubig.
Tama nga siya naiba ata ang naibigay ng bartender na alak, it’s a reaction I got when alcohol hits me. “Thank You sir. Kaisha po ng apala.” Pagpapakilala ko.

“Sebastian, or Baste call me Baste na lang.” he extended his hands to me.

Naka chikahan ko kunti si Baste and its refreshing to talk to someone na mature magisip.

“Thank You ulit Baste ha, DM mo ko minsan di ako famous namamansin naman ako.” I joked
“I gotto Go Kai, Sandro your boss is looking at me and about to spit fire. A friendly advice okay, if boys flocks in here shooo them away.” sabay alis niya..

To my horror upon looking at my phone 25 miscalls galling lahat kay sir Sandro kaya dali dali akong nagtext.
Diskompyado man tinignan ko kong hawak niya ang kanyang phone, he was sipping at his wine.

“really silent mode? So that is why you don’t like to sit with us? Enjoying their company? What are you an attention whore?”

Sobrang nakakainsulto ang sinabi ni Sandro, Kai can’t stop but to throw glances like daggers.
Tumayo siya at dumiretsyo sa powder room, there she saw couples making out and the like. She felt out of place kaya nakapagdecide syang sa tabi muna hanggang matapos ang pagsasaya ng magaling niyang Boss. She even had shots from strong liquors that made her head spin a bit.

“Hey Boss are done? What’s that?” sabay turo sa kiss mark sa kanyang leeg.

“You’re drunk Kaisha, lets go.” Pag-aalalay niya sa dalaga.

“NO I’m not Boss, Sige lang ho aantayin ko na lang ho kayo sa kotse.” With finality on her words, she walks in the sea of people partying like hell.

What a trouble, akala ko ang mga probinsiyanang gaya niya hindi ganito umasta sa loob ng club. Mabuti na lang at nagmagandang loob na bantayan siya ni Baste, you can see boys trying to pursue her. God why do I even have to care, she can handle herself naman na.
Exactly 3 in the morning I decided to leave the club. Maaga rin ang byahe bukas and you don’t want to have a massive hungover while travelling.

I didn’t bother to answer his questions. “ Where is Kai?”
