Bella told Charlie that she had a lot of homework to do and that she didn't want anything to eat. I grabbed a couple of cookies that I had made recently and mumbled something similar. Charlie was watching a basketball game on that he was excited about, though I personally didn't see all the fun in it, Lacrosse was a hundred times more interesting than that. So he didn't see the unusualness of Bella's face and tone.
Once I got in my room I lightly played some country music in my room and pulled out a book that Phil had bought me for Christmas one year and never got around to reading it. It was surprisingly good, I enjoyed it. Even though I finished it quite quickly, I checked my bookbag for any actual homework and felt weirdly disappointed when I found nothing. I pulled the book on my bookshelf and found myself so bored that I wrote in my journal.
I wrote mainly about Jasper and how the story that Jacob told fit with the Cullens so well and I wonder if it is true, almost to the point I truly believed it myself.
After a bit, I changed into some sweatpants, a t-shirt Alice had given me that smelled oddly familiar, and a very soft cardigan that I absolutely adore. I cuddled up under a bunch of blankets and pillows. A dim lamp was on in the corner, a comfy couch was beside it. I quickly fell asleep.
I opened my eyes to a familiar place. Aware somewhere in my consciousness that I was dreaming, I recognized the green light of the forest, the beauty of the wooded land that seemed very familiar, it entrapped me. I could hear the waves crashing onto the shore nearby.
I wanted to see the cliffs and walked towards the sound to be grabbed by Sam, pulling me into the woods. He looked frantic and I could hear Leah in the distance, of the woods calling me as well. He seemed to be pulling me to the darkest part of the woods.
"Sam? What's wrong? Where are you trying to take me?" I asked. His face was emotionless, with a hint of fear. He yanked with a lot of strength, pulling me further into the forest. However I pulled back, not wanting to go into the dark, I for once felt the need to go to the light. "Tiffany! Run! You have to run!" He whispered trying to convince me to go with him. "This way, Tiffany!" Jacob called and I could hear the faint sound of Leah calling me to the supposed safety.
"Why!" I asked another question. Still pulling against Sam and pushing toward the light of the sun and beach. Desperate to find the sun and cliffs before the sun goes away. Sam lets go of my hand and growled, suddenly shaking, falling to the dim forest floor. He twitched on the ground as I watched in horror.
"Sam!" I screamed. But he was gone. In his place was a large black wolf with dark brown eyes. The wolf faced away from me, pointing toward the shore, the hair on the back of his shoulders bristling, low growls issuing from between his exposed fangs.
"Tiffany Run!" called Leah again as she rushed to the darkness. However, I didn't turn. I walked around Sam or the wolf. Watching the light coming toward me.
And then Jasper stepped out from the trees, his skein faintly glowing, his eyes black and dangerous. He held up one hand and beckoned me to come to him. The Wolf or Sam growled from behind me.
I took a step forward, toward Jasper. He smiled then, and his teeth were normal-looking however motioned towards being very sharp and glazed with something. His skin seemingly glowing.
"Trust me darlin'" he purred.
I took another step toward him, nearly reaching for him.
But then Sam, the wolf, launches around me toward him. Going across the space between me and Jasper, fangs amaining for the jugular.
"NO!" I scream, wenching upright and out of my bed.
My movement caused me to fall off my bed and I hoped and prayed that I wasn't as loud as I thought I was. The lamp in the corner was still on and music was still quietly playing in the background.
