Chapter 2

"Mommy," I ran down the stairs. Excited for what I'm going to show to my Mom.

"Yes honey?" She diverted her attention to me and smiled.

I stood right in front of her. Mom is tall than me so she need to sit.

"Look at this," I showed her my drawing.

I'm really excited to see her reaction. I want her to be proud and happy for me.

"Uhm, what's that?" She asked and pointed at my drawing.

"It's me," I said with a big smile in my face.

"And why does it have a plane?" She pointed the airplane I draw.

"I wanna be a flight attendant to travel the world," I giggled. I don't know why the smile plastered on her face suddenly faded.

"Why mommy? Is there a problem?" I asked curiously.

"Nothing," she shook her head. "So, you want to be a flight attendant huh?"

"Yes po." I nodded politely.

"Okay, go back to your room now because mommy is working." She stood so I need to look up.

I don't know if what is the reason of my Mom's sudden change of mood. I was expecting her to be proud of me, but she didn't even said that my drawing is nice.

"Okay po." I just nodded and slowly went back to my room again.

My excitement just faded in a blink. Did I do something wrong that's why Mommy is like that? Is there something wrong with my drawing? I even did my best do that it will be nice but Mommy didn't seemed to be amazed by it.

Nang makabalik sa kwarto umupo ako sa study table ko at naisip na naman si Adrien.

Bakit kaya siya umiiyak ng makita ko siya five days ago. Para kasi siyang lonely. Simula no'n hindi na kasi kami muling nagkita.

Ayos lang kaya siya? Is he smiling now?

I always ask myself questions in my head about him. I don't know why I'm really worried. The last time I saw him, he's crying. Maybe I just want to see him smile that's why I'm like this. He's my friend after all.

"Daddy," I called him while we are having a dinner.

"Yes baby?" He's voice is very soft when talking to me.

"Uhmmm..." I am a bit shy to ask. "Kasi po...."

"Ano 'yon Ela?"

"Kasi po I wanna ask if saan mag-aaral si Adrien?" I bit my fingertips.

"At bakit naman?" He grinned. Looks like he wants to tease me.

"I wanna go in a same school with him Daddy," I honestly answered.

"Dalaga na baby Ela namin," Mommy teased me. "Do you like him?"

"Mommy. He's my friend naman po kasi," I pouted.

Buong hapunan ay wala silang ginawa kundi asarin ako. I don't know why. I just want to go to a same school with Adrien, because I want to be friends with him. He looks lonely that's why I want to be with him.

"Ian" I ran towards him. "Do you want some?" I offered him my snacks that Nanay Mela prepared . Nasa pintuan siya ng classroom namin nakatayo.

We've went to a same school. Kinausap kasi ni Mommy si Tita Iza.

"Can you stay away from me," he said in an irritated voice. "You're so makulit."

"Okay class, go back to your seats," our teacher entered the classroom kaya bumalik na lang ako sa upuan ko at gano'n din siya.
