King Jong-Soo entered the room, pleased to see everyone rising to their feet as he approached the dining table, bowing respectfully as they waited for him to take his place at the head of the table. He smiled, and after taking his seat, clapped his hands, urging them to take their seats, and they did so right away.
After everyone was seated, he glanced around to ensure everyone was there; a scowl formed on his face when he observed an empty chair next to his oldest son, Kim Namjoon.
"Where is Jimin?" King Jong-Soo expresses concern at his middle son's absence from the breakfast table.
Namjoon looked over at his father, knowing the question was directed towards him, "he was here just a minute ago, but he had to go get something; he will be here soon."
"What was it that was so important to him that he couldn't wait for me to arrive? Are you guys taking me for a joke? I requested for you to be here for breakfast this morning to commemorate the start of my birthday, but he decides not to be here-"
"Sorry, dad, I'm back; I had to go clean up Minho after an accident." Jimin apologizes profusely before handing over his youngest kid to his spouse and taking his seat next to him and his brother.
"Don't let that happen again," Jong-Soo said, glaring at Jimin. "It's not often I invite you all here for breakfast with me."
"It won't happen again, dad," Jimin said, bowing his head again and apologizing to his father.
"It better not; I deserve respect around here!" Jong-Soo declares loudly, gazing at his son to ensure he understands he was not pleased with him not being present before his arrival.
"I'm sorry, dad," Jimin dropped his head once again.

Jin groaned, turning on his bed and smacking his palm on his alarm clock, which kept going off, and exclaimed, "Shut up!" as he sat up and threw the clock across the room. "Why does it keep going off?" He was irritated at how often his alarm went off and perplexed as to why it was going off at all. He had no recollection of planning anything or setting the alarm; he was pretty positive one of the maids did it to irritate him.
He began looking for his phone in his bed, and when he found it, he rolled his eyes since the battery was dead. Getting out of bed, he takes up his robe off the floor, which he puts on. Then he goes to charge his phone as a knock comes at his door, "what is it?"
"Prince Seokjin, are you awake?"
"Would I respond to you if I wasn't awake?"
On the other side of the door, there was a brief silence before Jin got a response: "I apologize; I was just wondering whether you would join your father for breakfast this morning or would you rather we serve you breakfast here?"
"Oh my god, is that today?" Jin shouts, widening his eyes.
"Yes, Seokjin, your father's birthday is today."

Jimin nudges Namjoon's leg under the table, "where is Seokjin?"
Namjoon shrugged, "I have no idea; he probably forgot or isn't interested in joining us. I texted him, but he never answered, not that he ever does. Could you try contacting him? He generally responds to you, right?"
Jimin sighs, "I can't you know how our father feels about us using our phone around the table in his presence. If he hasn't asked for Seokjin, he is probably fine with him not being here."
"True," Namjoon says in agreement.
"I see that Seokjin wasn't able to make it to breakfast this morning-"
