Taehyung threw the papers he was looking over to the side and rose up from his seat at the desk. He then moved to the closest window and gazed out into the courtyard outside the building. He needed some time off, and a means to quiet his racing thoughts.

Recently, he had been having second thoughts about his decision to follow in his father's footsteps. Although he didn't mind working by the King's side and being one of the King's most trusted advisors, he found himself confined. He pondered whether or not his father had ever experienced anything in his life that was comparable to what he was going through.

It was the first time in his life that he wished he had someone he could trust to seek their guidance since it was the first time he wished he had someone he could confide in. He was the one who was constantly helping others and offering advice, but at this particular moment, he needed someone to be there for him. Unfortunately, apart from his deceased father, he did not have anybody else in his life who really understood him.

His adjustment to his new life and its obligations took their toll on him, and he was well aware that he was not the best Alpha for Seokjin. Seokjin was a selfish Omega who craved the attention of an Alpha who would cater to his every whim and provide him with the freedom to do as he pleased. He was an Omega with the ambition to live his life according to his own rules, and he desired to have an Alpha by his side to pamper him in the same manner that his parents and everyone else did when they were around him.

Taehyung was aware that this was not his nature; yet, he had a very low tolerance for Omegas, who believed themselves superior to Alphas. However, since Seokjin was crying inside their house, he felt like he was failing at his role as Seokjin's Alpha. This concerned him because he understood what the role of an Alpha was meant to be, and he didn't want a repeat of certain events in his life.

"Why do you have such a strange look?" Namjoon asked the question to his younger brother, who had been sulking and pouting.

Jin leaned his head to his brother's shoulder, "I don't think Taehyung loves me."

"What makes you say that?"

"He doesn't say anything to me, and to be honest, I don't know what he thinks since I only see him on the weekends and at night. He is constantly going to work and concentrating on fulfilling my father's wishes. Then he tells me that he doesn't want me to go anywhere and would rather I return to school rather than hang out with my friends.

I have already received my degree, so I don't need to continue my education. Namjoonie, why is this so difficult? I was under the impression that once we were married, everything would be alright, and we would be happy. Although I am happy, there are some instances when he prevents me from being happy. I don't know what to do."

Namjoon listened to his brother intently, he could hear the worry in Seokjin's voice, and he knew it was rare for his brother to ever worry about anything.

"I am sorry to hear that this is how you are feeling. Have you tried speaking to Taehyung about how you are feeling? Also, he is gone throughout the day because he works, Jinnie. He is not like us, or you, in that he has never been required to work. People have stuff like bills and other responsibilities that require a job to help them take care of, and they need a job to survive. Taehyung has a difficult position, the most difficult of all the people around us, and our father is also highly demanding. He can't be free like you can since even one slip-up may cost us a lot.

To comprehend why he is advising you to go back to school, which I am unsure about, further details would be helpful. I have just one thing to say to you: I hope you are aware that you are now mated and that you should be discussing with Taehyung your plans before you make them rather than after you have already made them. An Alpha demands respect, and I know from personal experience that this is very important to Taehyung. I am aware that the concept of hierarchy is foreign to you and that it has never been relevant to you; nonetheless, many people around here place a high value on it. If Taehyung didn't like you, mating with him would have been an unpleasant experience, so I wouldn't worry too much about that."
