"Can you please feed me?" Jin turned his head to gaze at Taehyung, who had just set a bowl of soup in front of him.

Taehyung looked at his Omega and sighed. "Seokjin, I need to start doing the laundry, so eat this time without my help."

Jin's eyes were cast downward, and his expression changed to sadness.

"Fine, I will feed you, but Seokjin, I need you to start doing these on your own."

As Taehyung sat next to Jin, he immediately started spoon-feeding him the soup. Jin beamed as he casually welcomed Taehyung feeding him.

Since Seokjin's pregnancy ended in a miscarriage two weeks ago, this has been the norm in their relationship. Every time he had the opportunity, he clung to Taehyung and didn't want to engage in anything unless Taehyung was there.

Taehyung, in his role as Jin's Alpha, was able to decipher the various motivations behind Jin's behavior, even though Jin had been very quiet about most things since the loss of the pregnancy. Prior to the loss, Seokjin was clingy, but now he is even more clingy. This is not only due to the loss but also because Taehyung had left out of the blue, and Seokjin was terrified that the same thing might happen to him in the future. This is something that Taehyung was aware of. He was aware that his Omega was having difficulties, and at this point, he was attempting to ease some of those difficulties. At the same time, he concentrated on figuring out other things for himself.

He was furious when he learned that the queen and Jimin had known about Seokjin's pregnancy but had concealed this information from everyone, but he knew in his heart that if he had been there, everything might have been prevented. When there had been some failure on his and Seokjin's parts, he could not afford to waste his time angry at them.

However, he had no interest in continuing to work with the monarch due to what had taken place. He had not shared his intentions with anyone, not even his Omega, since the king had granted him a leave of absence for a long length of time so that he could concentrate on Seokjin's wellbeing.

Since he had never worked outside the kingdom before, he was unsure what to do or what kind of employment he could pursue. However, he was determined to make a difference for himself. He had spent many years proving his dedication to them, but the only time he asked for that same loyalty in return, he was met with resistance.

It didn't surprise him that Namjoon had told him of all that had taken place and how much the king wanted him dead upon his departure. Nonetheless, it was still painful to hear about it because of everything he and his father had done for the king and his family.

He didn't care about the family anymore. His only goal was to be Seokjin's Alpha, strengthen their relationship, and find his mother. He hoped Seokjin would work on growing up and not think he was entitled to everything. For them to work as a team, Taehyung needed him to do that. As he knew, if he stopped doing things for the kingdom, it would make things very difficult. He didn't want to force Seokjin to pick a side, but he needed him to stick with him where it mattered.

"Taehyung?" Jin stopped Taehyung from feeding him as he called his name.

"What is it?"

"I have been thinking."

"What has been on your mind?" As he asked his question, Taehyung wiped the soup off Jin's lips.

Jin smiled, "I like when you take care of me like this. It makes me feel happy. I wish you could do it all the time."
