"Changed your mind, Mr. Vikranth?" She asked when I continued to stay silent even after her acceptance of this plan.

My phone started ringing before I can reply to her and was about to cut it off but found the caller ID to be Prathap's.

I picked it up asking, "Did Uncle say anything?" but he didn't speak for a few seconds.

"I didn't call you because of that but to apologize for the earlier mistake. I hope everything went well with the contract." He mumbled clearing his throat.

"Yes! Where are you staying right now?" I frowned hearing car sounds while he laughed at my words.

"You think I can enter my home after pulling that stunt? I already bought a building with my savings until now and right now staying there." He explained and I am not surprised that he took such a step towards his dream otherwise he wouldn't have resigned in the first place.

"Go to the hotel and stay in the room reserved for GH's family." I stated but he ignored that while changing the topic to Shrishti.

"She is going to leave tomorrow for work and will return by Saturday and you will return by Sunday morning. Your flight for today is at four or something in the morning, right?" he asked while I checked the time to see it is already past midnight.

"Yeah!" I replied before glancing at Kanika who is still staring at me with a blank face but her eyes are showing the fear in them.

I am definitely responsible for part of it as I talked about many things to get her to agree and even by bringing up Anitha's career troubles and didn't leave out the impact of her injuries too on her friend's choice to go for her new shot at her career.

"Okay! I will be busy after you return but Shrishti and you can meet up again and she already booked the same place for next Sunday where we were supposed to have proper lunch. Happy journey!" with that he cut the call while I stiffened hearing his way of trying to be careless about this matter.

With a sigh, I dialed a number before saying, "I would like to meet you regarding an important matter and this needs immediate action as it relates to a person important to me. And also it should be classified. Is it possible to meet you now?"

"Okay! We will be there right now." I cut the call and then found my school classmate who is also her attending physician entering the room with a folder.

"My shift is over and want to ask whether I should report this to officials or not before I leave." He states while looking at me.

"Report it!" She replied immediately without pausing.

"Mr. Vikranth will handle the matters relating to the report." She added and I glanced at her but she continued to stare at the doctor while he coughed at that.

"Not going to?" she asked turning to stare at me when I stayed silent.

"Give it to me!" I mumbled extending my hand and she slowly relaxed before leaning back to the bed properly.

"Can she leave and travel a bit?" I asked turning back towards the doctor.

"She can but you need to make sure she has a proper rest and also use the medication properly. I can suggest a belt to help her to sit and also walk without hurting that area. It was not a serious fracture but just cracked a bit. But still, it will take a few weeks to heal with proper care otherwise it will take months." He advised and I thanked him after which he left the room.

"Can you travel right now?" I asked staring at her to which she nodded without any hesitation.

"Now going to ask to where I am taking you?" I continued while picking up the laptop as she needs to change her attire from the hospital one.
