"Is it done?" I asked glancing at Jay after the meeting is over and he nodded while gathering the files.

"I am asking about the courier work." I added and he finally stopped before glancing at me before giving a brief about already finishing it.

"I even messaged Keerthi about the matter and how to keep it a secret. She responded saying she will definitely keep it a secret and will follow my instructions." I nodded and stood up to walk out of the meeting room as everyone already left.

"Madam thanked me so many times, Sir. I felt as if I did a huge work for a moment as she thanked me like that even though this was simple work." He continued following me and I just ignored him.

"Madam is very humble, Sir. I felt that on the day of reception too." He added and I sighed gesturing him to leave.

Not a single day passes with me thinking whether he is the one who actually does all the work as he talks so much about other things which make me doubt how can he finish every work so professionally.

After I sat down, my phone started ringing and I sat straight before picking it up greeting, "Dad!"

"Meeting is done?" he asked and I said it is finished and the results were good from this one.

"Uday went for the admission process with his Mom yesterday along with my assistant and in the middle of the conversation the assistant pointed out your house as it is on the way. Now, she wants to stop by for dinner tonight. Will it be fine?" he asked and I stayed silent until he finished talking.

"Of course, Dad! You will be coming too, right?" I asked not thinking about anything else.

"Yes! It is better if I am there." I agreed to the time before he cut the call while I just sat there for a few seconds before realizing whom I am going to meet today.

I rubbed my forehead thinking I should have given some excuse but... I shook my head and messaged Kanika about the dinner plan.

She replied back asking for the time and then I remember that she has a class at 9. Even though they are going to come before 8, I am not sure whether they will leave by 9.

And this time she shouldn't say that she will leave as there is class. I frowned before sending the time knowing well she will talk about the class and I have to let her be because of the contract rule.

However, to my surprise, she messaged back saying, 'I will talk to my mentor and ask for leave at least for an hour. Should I prepare dinner? I can do it as it is just five of us.'

'My Aunt will criticize very badly and will say mean things.' I explained and immediately paused.

Why am I explaining? I could just reject her idea saying I will order food even though my Aunt will even criticize me for my choice of catering service.

'It's okay! She doesn't matter to me. I am also free today.' After that, I didn't say anything as she is right.

She really doesn't care what anyone says or does for sure and I observed it quite a few times.

Last time at Prathap's restaurant, she definitely left to give space for us three to chat and mainly because Shrishti was talking properly but she really didn't seem to care that we ignored her.

I try to do the same whenever I meet Aunt and Uday but... but it always impacts me and I don't even know why when they are not related to me at all.
