Chapter 12

I woke up with the alarm ringing for the second time and I realized that I am going to get spoiled for the next two years because of this bed. I don't want to get up at all unlike in the past when I used to wake up even before the alarm.

With a sigh, I sat up and found my packed suitcase which I thought of unpacking after dinner yesterday but slept off the moment I laid down.

After freshening up, I climbed down the stairs to find yesterday's helper cleaning the living room and smiled at me saying, "Was yesterday's dinner good, Madam? I found most of it not finished and thought maybe my cooking was not good."

"Thank you! It was really good." I replied smiling and added saying, "He was not feeling well and didn't have dinner."

"Then should I continue cooking three meals, Madam? I was just instructed to cook yesterday's dinner and so I didn't prepare any breakfast." She explained looking at me while I paused hearing those steps.

"It's okay! Just do whatever was instructed earlier." I stated not wishing to change anything which would just go against the rules that were placed.

"What were you actually instructed with?" I asked thinking it is better to know ahead than to stumble later.

She gave a confused look with my question but replied, "I will be here in the morning to clean this floor and take care of utensils along with the laundry. I will also take care of the garden. In the evening I will come again to clean the utensils."

She showed the keys that were passed to her and I gave her a nod before walking towards the kitchen and prepared a simple toast using the groceries I found yesterday night.

His assistant seems to be really capable as he even thought of filling up the refrigerator and the other needed things in the kitchen.

"Let me know for any changes regarding my cleaning, Madam." She asked reaching me when I sat down at the dining chair.

"It was mentioned that I need not clean the bedrooms and just care about the living room and dining room by the Sir who hired me. Is there anything else that is needed, Madam?" she added staring at me.

"That's all! Please follow whatever that person said as he is following our orders. If there is any change, I will let you know." She nodded walking back to the living room to continue cleaning while I took a bite from my breakfast.

Today will be the marriage in everyone's eyes and then tomorrow will be the reception. He said I will be given the card with money after the reception.

Then I can go to the academy day after tomorrow as I already paid the fees with the money that Mr. Vikranth sent me due to my request.

If not for that then Anitha wouldn't have felt assured that my father is really behind the bars and that I can stay at the academy when she leaves.

She didn't settle down until I showed her the receipt of payment and I lied that the hostel payment should be done later before the beginning of the classes.

Now for these two days, I will have that remaining amount that I saved by not joining the hostel. I can use that to buy the things I would need before the classes begin.

"I finished cleaning, Madam. Should I clean the laundry today, Madam?" She asked reaching me and I stared at her before glancing at the time.

It's past ten and he seems to be still sleeping. She didn't get assigned to the cleaning of bedrooms to hide the separate rooms, right?
