As I stared at the awards displayed on the shelf in which half of them are also there in my study room, I heard footsteps behind me and turned to find Dad entering the study room.

"Sit down!" he said before walking to his chair with the help of walking stick and sat down.

I stared at him for a few seconds and walked to the chair opposite his to sit down. I didn't say anything and he too didn't start the conversation for a few minutes.

"The contract is over between both of you? Does that mean, you both are divorced?" He calmly asked and I remember the document I signed this morning below her signature.

"Procedure started and it will take time for the final settlement." I replied thinking how she passed the documents to my hand asking me to start the process and I passed them to Jay as if in a trance before coming here.

"I already contacted the board members that your wife will not join GH as I am not satisfied with her proposal completely." He stated and I glanced up to stare at him.

He always used those words to describe her. 'My wife' but she is not the one anymore but he is still doing the same.

"Tell me the details of the contract." He said leaning back and I stared at him before calmly explaining the rules and the payment that is to be made at the end of it.

He listened to everything calmly without stopping me for a second and calmly said, "Pay her the money equal to the market price of the shares that are present in her name but don't sell the shares yet."

I frowned at him feeling surprised but he continued saying, "If they are sold to me or anyone else, the discussion will start again. Let them be and I am sure you trust her because of which you involved GH shares in the first place."

"I trust her!" I whispered while holding the chair arms tightly with my hands feeling the uneasiness raising again.

"Dad! If you knew she is not my wife in a normal way, why did you insist on her joining GH?" I asked directly as this was the main effect that caused all this.

"I don't support for anyone to join GH unless either me or your uncles are sure about their talent along with you. So, I wouldn't have accepted the proposal even if she had submitted it to the company." He replied staring at me.

"Then why?" I asked him frowning more as I didn't expect this at all.

"Before that, you have to decide on one thing. Right now you have two options, one is to tell everyone about the divorce and bear all kinds of problems from the public and board and the second is to hide this matter and continue to be with her by signing another contract until you can fix your position completely in GH without board's pressure." He asked looking at me but I am still fixed on his actions from yesterday.

"I would prefer you to take the second option as your new projects are under the way and they all will get affected. You even recently started producing a movie also and everything will get implicated." He added leaning back and I just stared at him.

Ask her to sign another contract with her? That I can never do that and so, it is better to choose the first option.

"Of course, if it is the first option, then there will be a clear cut from her and no appearance with her will be possible anywhere for a few months as continuous media interference will not be good." He suddenly added.

I closed my eyes thinking I can't do that. I can never try to stay completely away from her and she is going to start her business too.

I don't know what kind of mentor is of hers and she would need assistance also. How can I stay away from her at such an important time period?
