*Vikranth Pov*
I frowned at the alarm sound and slowly opened my eyes to adjust to the light from the windows. I looked around before taking the phone from the bedside table and saw in a blur that the alarm is not from my phone.
Then whose... I realized that my other arm is holding a warm body and we both slept off in each other arms.
I glanced down to find her frowning and she is patting on the bed for the phone. I glanced at her side before leaning over to take it and turned off the alarm which woke her up.
She glanced up to meet my eyes and we stared at each other in silence. As I gave her a smile, she smiled back and moved her face to laid down in the previous position.
"I thought you will ask me what I am doing here." She mumbled and I moved my other hand to hug her.
"I was not drunk." I pointed out closing my eyes.
"That didn't seem to be like the case." She stated and I smiled while trying to remember the time I saw on the phone while turning off the alarm.
Before I could think, my phone started ringing and I moved my hand away from her to pick it up only to hear Jay asking, "Sir! Where are you? The meeting is about to start."
"Meeting?" I asked frowning.
"Sir! You have scheduled the meeting at 11 and everyone is already here." He replied and I froze hearing his words.
"Jay! Turn the meeting online and connect me to the screen within ten minutes." Saying that I cut the call and she already moved to sit up.
"That alarm was for my class." She mumbled looking at me and we both rushed to get up.
She walked out of the room while I stepped into the washroom to freshen up. I changed my clothes to formal wear and walked out of my room to find her rushing toward the study room.
"Kanika!" I called stopping her from opening the door.
"What is it?" she asked turning to look at me and I approached her calmly.
I smiled and moved my hands to hold her face and pressed my lips to hers before releasing her and turned to walk toward the stairs.
Entering the study room, I connected the call to Jay and the meeting started. No one asked why am I doing it online and the meeting went well with the client.
"Sorry about the delay." I apologized after the meeting ended.
"It's okay, Mr. Vikranth! I heard you were not feeling well yesterday. I am glad you didn't cancel the meeting even with poor health." I nodded without saying anything else and the call disconnected.
"Sir! Are you going to come to the company now?" Jay asked calling me after sending them away.
"I will be there within an hour. If there are any important calls, note them down for me." I replied standing up from the chair.
"Sir! Ashok Sir called in the morning to ask whether you came to work or not. But he didn't give any other instructions." I paused hearing those words and then continued to walk out of the study room.
"Okay!" I mumbled cutting the call.
"Vikranth!" I turned to find her standing in the dining area.
"What about your class?" I asked frowning.
"There was some issue on the other side and the class got canceled." She replied while gesturing to the food on the table.
"Let's have lunch! You must be hungry." She mumbled sitting down, and I sat down in my chair before serving the food on my plate and passed the bowl to her.
