Chapter 28

I continued to sit on the couch after she walked away with a frown thinking I shouldn't have said those things.

If I think about the events that happened, she is doing more than what is mentioned in the contract to help me.

She is helping me with the review of Anny's show and also yesterday when I was not feeling well, she helped me to make sure others didn't realize that which even caused them to misunderstand her.

I was the one who said all those things yesterday under the influence of alcohol and she didn't force me. She even prepared some hangover tonic but I again treated her like I treat others.

Also, after hearing her words about the trouble she feels near a drunk person, I couldn't help but feel guilty for my actions this evening.

On humanitarian grounds, she even ignored her own difficulties after understanding my mood and I was here talking about deals to keep her from spilling out whatever I said.

After analyzing all the points, I nodded to myself thinking I should stop thinking about her on the same level as people other than my family.

I can't think of her as a family but now I can divide the people into three parts. The first division is for my family, the second division is for her, and the third is for remaining.

After that segmentation, I felt relieved thinking I will not do the same mistake again after this process for sure.

With that thought, I opened my laptop to continue to work while thinking to have a word with her tomorrow during breakfast.

However, what I didn't expect was her behavior in the morning. If she is angry at me, then that would have been fine as I crossed the line yesterday evening.

The point is she is not angry but just acting like I am not here and lost in her thoughts. I opened my mouth to call her again and she is calmly having her breakfast with a frown covering her face.

Were my words really that bad that she started ignoring me like this? If it was before then I wouldn't have mind that much.

However, now she is the second division and I am not comfortable that she is ignoring me like this.

Before I could start to think of a solution, she finished eating and started walking towards the door.

I opened my mouth to call her but stopped realizing the helper from my Dad's house already observed the atmosphere and if I call Kanika now but get ignored in the return then it will be a problem.

I frowned at the helper who is looking at me and she immediately turned around to work. I shook my head and finished the breakfast. I left the house still thinking about what to do now.

When I saw Jay waiting for me in the cabin, I stared at him before gesturing for him to sit down.

"What is it, Sir?" he asked looking at me.

"Do you need a helper at your house?" he gave a dumbstruck expression hearing my question.

"Well?" I gestured for him to reply.

"Yes, Sir!" he replied and I nodded telling him about the helper in my house who can be hired by him.

"Then what about you, sir?" He asked frowning.

"I already have one whom you hired and if I need it, you can hire another one." He slowly nodded with a confused expression.

"Also..." I couldn't continue thinking it will be too much to ask him about this.
