Chapter 14

"I will be there soon. Prepare for the meeting and make sure everything is ready." Instructing Jay I climbed down the stairs only to pause at the last step.

"What is it?" I asked looking at her as she seems to be waiting for me.

"Car keys? I need to go to the academy." She explained and I remembered that I mentioned passing my old car to her as the house is far from everything.

"It will be in the drawer below television." She nodded walking towards that place and got the keys as the keys to my car are still with me.

She started walking towards the main door but immediately turned around to walk towards me saying, "I don't have house keys set with me."

"There is one extra in the same drawer." This time she left after taking that set while I rubbed my forehead.

It feels weird looking at her now after the way she talked yesterday. I never saw her talking so much and mainly explaining her actions.

Why would she do that? I shook my head and walked towards the dining area and found it empty except for water.

Not wishing to prepare anything right now because of time constraints, I walked out of the house and found her driving away without any problems.

After reaching the office, I found Mohan Uncle in the elevator and it suddenly feels awkward to talk to them after this sudden marriage news.

"Good morning, Uncle!" he nodded to my greeting without saying anything else.

However, after reaching my floor and started stepping out he commented, "Shouldn't you be taking a holiday being a newly married man? Is she fine with it?"

"I have an important meeting to handle, Uncle. I will take leave later." I replied with a calm expression while thinking how could she not be fine with it as she is the one who left the house earlier than me.

"Okay! Don't let your wife complain." With those words, the doors closed while I turned to walk towards my cabin where my assistant is waiting for me.

"Good morning, Sir! Everything is ready and I thought the meeting would be postponed by some people but everyone is coming. I hope Madam is not mad that you came to work today, Sir." Jay commented while passing the file and I paused to stare at him.

"Jay! This will be the first and last time I hear you say such things. Okay?" he nodded without any hesitation and I checked the file as this will help to get the acceptance to get a new building under GH agency and I can shift to that building completely and come here whenever it is needed.

After everyone walked out of the conference room, I stayed back while checking the file thinking what did I miss which made them reject this outright without a chance.

"Sir! Should I revise the things once?" I shook my head as the file is completely perfect and everything was written down.

"It's okay! After we show the success of Anny's project, we can conduct another meeting. Now, focus on the shooting and make sure there are no problems." I said standing up realizing even after all these years, my word will not mean anything.

"Then what about the auditions to gather the artists, sir?" he asked following me.

"Hire an auditorium using my expenses and don't use any of the company's funds. However, let's postpone the audition until the web series gets released." I instructed and he nodded following me to the cabin while noting it down.
