"They are coming back? When?" Pramod Uncle asked looking at my Dad while Prathap finally concentrated on what is going on in the room as he sat like a statue until now.

"They are coming back?" Prathap asked glancing at me and I nodded not giving out any expression but I am worried.

They never shied away from showing their anger and disgust towards me. I don't know whether I can bear it without showing any kind of reaction as they are returning to settle here and not going back to the states anymore.

"Why didn't you tell me?" He asked in a worried tone.

"When? By thinking in my mind? You were not talking to me, Remember?" I pointed out and he sighed shaking his head.

They don't keep good equations even with both Prathap's and Shrishti's families. Even though they came for visit just a few times over the past years, it is still trouble for everyone here.

"Don't worry! She is returning to get her son admitted into the best college for MBA and I got his admission in outskirts of the city and so they will live in the area closer to the college and not in the city." Dad commented assuring both Pramod and Mohan Uncle.

Immediately everyone in the room sighed in relief. I stared at Dad thinking maybe this is why I understand why I am still not like a son to him.

He is ready to keep away his own Sister and nephew to make sure they don't cause trouble for the people he considers as a family. Then he is actually treating me better than he usually does based on my past and what my... what that man did to his company.

"Want to talk about the terms of the investment now? Don't want to start it?" I asked glancing at Prathap and he nodded before listening calmly.

"That's too much, right? Will it be fine?" He asked frowning hearing the amount that is planned out.

"Why? Want to just open a small restaurant and settle with your life? Don't want to expand it or open any franchise?" I asked back and he sighed looking at me.

"I want it more than anything but I want to do it with the profits I get from that single one and extend it myself." He explained and I checked the contents on the phone.

"Okay! For now, the amount will be reduced to this and when you are ready to extend the business, the amount will be ready. Of course only if there are profits, the next amount will be ready." I added the last words and he nodded accepting the terms.

After that, we both stayed silent and he opened his mouth after a few minutes asking, "So, how is your married life?"

"Good! How is your life?" I returned his question which startled him before he laughed at those words.

"No need to taunt me that I am not talking to you normally. I just... don't know whether I can call you anytime like in the past and also ask you to meet up as you are now a married man." He explained and I smiled at those words.

"Nothing changed like you are thinking. No need to change anything and just be like always. Of course, if you don't want to talk to me and stay away from me..." he cut me off saying, "Of course not! How can I not talk to you?"

After that, he started talking about what he has done until now for renovating the building and his plan to keep the second floor closed, and also about his room on the third floor.

"Uncle is still angry?" I asked glancing at Pramod Uncle.

"Yeah! And this is more helpful for me as I will be closer to make sure nothing goes wrong." He explained and I nodded but everyone's conversation got cut when we heard a knock on the door.
