Chapter 3

"That's all for today. Good luck for tomorrow recitation."

It was her last class of the day. Kitang -kita niya ang stress sa mukha ng mga estyudante dahil sa sinabi niya. Hindi niya na lang pinansin at inayos ang gamit niya habang umaalis sila. She grab her laptop bag when suddenly a hand abruptly grab it.

Agad siya napaangat ng tingin, nakita niya si Calcifer. She glared at him and the latter just chuckle before putting her bag on his shoulder. The medium size bag look so small on him. He's that tall and muscular.

Halos hindi din siya makaturo ng maayos dahil sa mga titig at simpleng kindat nito sakaniya. She just sigh before started to walk outside the classroom. She felt weirdly calm although she felt dread inside.

Walang mangyayari kung magpa-panic siya. Hanggang ngayon gusto pa rin niya kutusan ang sarili niya pero kasalanan din naman niya, ngayon gusto niya lang malaman ang tunay na dahilan kung bakit ganito ang binata sakaniya.

Its also weird seeing a college student bringing her professor bag to her office but here they are.

"Darling — "

Agad niya ito hinarap at tinakpan ang bunganga bago tumingin sa paligid. Pinanlakihan niya ito ng mata kasabay ng pagkuha ng kamay niya.

"For god sake, andito tayo sa school! Hindi mo ko pwedeng tawagin ganyan!" Asik niya sa maliit na boses na sila lang maka- karinig. "Paano kung may makarinig?!"

"Oh, right. Sorry, Ms. Flint." He wink before walking toward her office and open it before facing her, smiling like a fool. "You first, my lady." Ani nito.

She look around, relief seeing the place almost empty. She breathe out before walking in her office, stomping her heels in the floor. She stop stomping mid way before looking back at him, sharply.

She's strict when it comes to students following the school dress code and policy. "At bakit ka naka-shades? It's against the school policy. Semi catholic ang pinapasukan mo." She roll her eyes before continuing her stomping.

She don't like acting like this but something in her is just letting herself act like this. Don't get her. Wrong. She's still scared, concern and mad, pero may iba siyang naramdaman. Hindi niya naiitindihan.

"Concern?" She could hear his teasing voice behind her. "Nakaka-silaw kasi ang ganda mo."

She stop before looking back at him. Alam niyang sobrang sama ng reaksyon niya sa mukha. Did he really throw that cringe ass banat to her? Pero mukhang proud ito sa sinabi nito at tinawanan lang reaksyon niya.

She just took a deep breath before walking away. "Corny. Hindi bagay sayo gumaniyan. Nakaka-kilabot."

"It's fine." Rinig niyang saad nito. Pakiramdam niya mas lalong siya kinabahan dahil sa pinagsa-sabi nito. Lalo na nasa open space sila. Anyone could hear them. "At least bagay ako sayo diba — "

She immediately face him. "Calcifer stop, please." Agad nawala ang ngiti nito. Her voice crack. She's scared especially na lumalabas na ang ibang students sa room. "Maraming tao. Baka may makarinig. Just please, marami na akong problema."

Calcifer immediately straighten his posture up before nodding and smiling softly at her. Her heart skip a beat. Agad nangunot ang noo niya dahil doon. It felt like she's experience this before.
