Chapter 16

Kakalabas lang niya ng banyo ng marinig niyang may kumatok sa pinto niya. Agad naman nangunot ang noo niya. She twirl a towel on her hair before looking at the mirror naglagay kasi siya ng concealer sa mukha niya. Hindi na masyadong namamaga ang mata niya pero kita pa din ang marka ng kamay doon. Sinadya niya talaga na pumunta sa apartment niya bago bumalik sa penthouse ni Calcifer.

Ayaw niya makita ito ng binata baka kung ano mangyari, lalo na overprotective ang binata sakaniya. Naalala niya pa kung paano nito pinatangal ang built in mirror sa elevator ng penthouse dahil aksidente niyang nahawi ang dulo ng salamin, medyo bumuka kasi. Nagkasugat siya noon. Almost instantly natangal ang salaman na iyon.

Iyon pa nga lang nangyari sakaniya ganon na ang reaksyon ng binata paano na lang kung ito makita nito? Pero wala ito kumpara sa sakit na naramdaman niya ng makita niya ang reaksyon at sinasabi ng Mom niya. Bumuntong -hininga na lang siya. Ayaw niyang pag-isipan iyon.

She was fixing her top while walking toward the door and look through the peephole. Her heart race seeing Calcifer. She just stand there, nagulat siya. Mabuti na lang at tapos na siya sa ginawa niya. Agad siya napaigtad ulit ng marinig niyang tinawag siya ulit nito kasabay ng pagkatok.

"Darling. You there?" His hoarse voice speak, pakiramdam niya nanghina ang tuhod niya dahil sa boses nito.

And that was enough for her to slowly open the door for him. Agad siya nginitian ng binata ng makita siya nito. His hand hesitantly cup her face. Feeling the hand on her face she couldn't help but to hug him and before she knew it, she's crying. Calcifer is shushing her while slowly walking inside of her apartment. Slowly her knees weakened. That's when Calcifer pull her up, kaya binalot niya ang paa niya sa bewang nito.

She just cry and sob while Calcifer is kissing and caressing her back. Hindi niya alam kung gaano siya katagal umiiyak. Calcifer was still doing what he's doing while whispering things to her. Binigyan niya ng distansya ang katawan nila. He immediately cup her face, his thumb drying her face. "I'm here, darling. Do you want to talk about it. Why are we upset?"

She just shake her head. "I don't think I can talk about it." That's when she felt a lump in her throat, she felt like crying again. "I don't want to feel bad — " Tears fall in her eyes. Masyadong maraming nangyayari.

"Hey, okay. Let's not talk about it now." Ani ng binata bago pinunasan ang luha niya. "Saka na natin pag-usapan — " Before Calcifer could say anything else when her stomach grumble. Agad silang natigilan ng binata. Both of them stared at each other for a while and unconsciously both of them chuckled at the same time. "Look like someone is hungry."

She sob before nodding, she's still feeling upset but she feel like smiling especially seeing Calcifer was forcing to hide a smile as well. Hindi niya mapigilan hampasin ang dibdib nito dahil doon. Calcifer chuckle before holding her fisted hand and kiss it. "Gusto mo ba Jollibee?"

Calcifer stare is really calming her, his touch, his warmth. Him. It's calming her. Tumango siya bago nilagay ang dalawang kamay niya sa leeg nito. "Gusto ko ng spaghetti tapos sundae, fries, chicken pero gusto ko din ng nuggets sa McDo, BFF din tapos silvanas tapos cream puff at Ice cream ba cookies and cream."

Calcifer nodded. "Bibili din tayo ng fries sa Jollibee?"

"Kaya kong magbayad." Agad na saad niya. It's just her nature to say those, especially kung nagre-request siya.

Calcifer chuckle before kissing the tip of her nose repeatedly. "Hindi yon ang tanong ko."

Tumango siya pero hindi niya maalis ang titig sa bibig niya binata. To be honest living with him is like living with a temptation but that temptation was overpowered by her fear. She always discard Calcifer, being nice and being her good self when she's like this. Breaking down or feeling lost. Parang ginagamit niya lang ang binata and she feel bad because of that. She's using Calcifer, she knew that.
