Chapter 7

"If you accidentally push a pregnant woman and an accidental abortion takes place." She stare at her student. Halos 15 lang ang nandoon. Oral recitation nila ngayon, after this kailangan niya pumunta sa law firm niya. Inalis niya muna iyon sa isip niya. "Can you be jailed and how could you?"

Nakita niya kung papaano dumaan ang takot sa mata ng mga estyudante niya but somehow some of them was able to keep their frame relax but their eyes can't lie. Pero agad naagaw ni Calcifer ang pansin niya. He just seems pre-occupied while staring at her, hindi niya na ito pinansin. "Andrew?"

Tumikhim ang estyudante tinawag niya bago ito nag-salita. "No Ma'am because it's an accident. Abortion takes place when a pregnant woman go to an abortion clinic."

She purse her lips, unconsciously her eyes immediately went to Calcifer who's been seating infront of her. Out of everyone ito lang ang hindi balisa. He's even looking at her admiringly. Hindi niya lang iyon pinapansin pero hindi niya maiwasan tignan ito. "Calcifer. Do you agree with your classmates answer?"

Calcifer face lit up, parang natuwa pa ito na natawag ito. He stand up before answering. Parang nanunuyo ang lalamunan niya habang nakatingin dito. Calcifer look so out of place. "No Ma'am. I don't agree."

She pulled a fake shock face as she always do. Student barely have the courage to disagree with their classmates. Nakita niyang nabalisa si Andrew, hindi lang ito pati na din ang mga kaklase nito. They seem concern for the both of them. She give Calcifer a look, a look that says 'go on speak'.

"Article of 257 of the revised penal code prescribed prison correcional for accidental abortion, so you can be imprisoned for as long as 6 years." Calcifer confidently answer, staring straight at her eyes. Smiling like he's trying to act cute.

"Hmm. So you're saying that your classmate is wrong?" She ask Calcifer. Challenging him. She's been doing this for years but somehow she felt excited for the first time. She doesn't like failing student that why she hate this but somehow Calcifer, damn. What am I thinking?!

"Yes Ma'am."

"So your classmate deserve a 5?"

"Ma'am his answer is wrong and we all agreed to give a 5 for those who will answer wrong so yes." Calcifer glance at Andrew, agad nawala ang malamyos na titig nito ng tumingin ito sa kaklase, then his eyes sparkle before looking back at her. Iyon ang maliliit na bagay na ginagawa nito na parang kumikiliti sa puso niya."He deserve a 5."

"Okay. Very good. Take your seat."

She was about to call a new student when the bell rang. It was her last class of the day. She had 2 class, 1 to 2 hours a day. Her students start to walk out the room while bidding her goodbye. Akala niya siya na lang sa room ng may kumuha ng bag niya sa mesa. Hindi na niya kailangan tignan kung sino.

"Shit. I hate this chair."

"Nakaka-pagod bang umupo ganda?" Calcifer ask her, looking as if he's waiting for her to notice him. "Gusto mo tayo na lang?"

She scoff before rolling her eyes at him. Calcifer is smart but he keep saying all this nonsense. "Masakit ang paa ko sa heels kapag tumatayo." Calcifer laugh heartily kaya napatingin siya. She raise her eyebrow. Doon lang ito umayos.

"It's your last class, right darling?" Calcifer ask putting her bag on his shoulder. It look so small on him. "Isang lang class mo diba? Want to sail with me?" Bago pa siya makapag-salita ay inunahan na siya nito. "Right. We have a dinner at your 'boyfriend' house."
