They were the complete opposite of one another; one being the best student there is and the other being the worst.

It's such a surprise that they get along well. Very well.

"Chi, just please help me with this exam! I want to pass!" Niragi cried to the blonde. But Chishiya just bit on his pen, being too busy with his notes to prepare for the coming-up exams.

"Then you should've paid attention to class if you wanted to pass." He mumbled.

Niragi groaned in frustration. "Listening to class is so boring! Besides, why listen when you got someone to teach you, right?" He smirked, poking Chishiya's cheek.

"Yeah, no. Suffer."

"Chishiya Shuntaro, I beg you!"

Niragi practically hugged the blonde's arm who looked quite surprise. They made eye contact for a brief moment before Chishiya pulled away with a scoff.

"Fine," He sighed frustratingly. "Let's study later at the library then."

"Yes!" Niragi cried, although his mini celebration was soon cut off when their classmates entered the room to listen to another boring class. The boy sighed. "Ah, here we go again."

———

"And that is how we got -3 in this problem. Do you get it now?" Chishiya's low, soft voice filled his ears as he zoned out, unknowingly nodding his head in response. "Yeah? Answer this next problem then."

"Uh, okay." Niragi nervously chuckled, mentally cussing himself for not listening to the blonde's lectures. "You see, uhm..."

"You're clearly not listening." Chishiya raised his brow, lips forming into a thin line as he folded his arms against his chest.

"Well, I can't help it that your voice's alluring." Niragi grumbled underneath his breath.

"What was that?"

"I said this fucking subject is hella annoying."

The blonde chuckled, staring at Niragi's frustrated form, he placed a hand on the pierced-boy's hair before giving it a gentle stroke.

Both of them were shock by his actions. No one dared to move. Chishiya can feel his cheeks heating up, slowly removing his hand from Niragi's hair, however, before his hand could leave his hair, Niragi swiftly held it tight.

"It's fine." Niragi smiled.

All Chishiya could do was to blink a couple of times before placing his hand on Niragi's hair again, stroking it softly with a light chuckle.

"We're supposed to study, why are you sleeping?" Chishiya gently uttered, not really wanting to wake up the now sleeping man infront of him.

"Mhm, later." The other whispered, grabbing his hand that were placed on his hair.

"You better study later, asshole." The blonde released a soft laugh before continuing to play with Niragi's hair. He couldn't help but let his mind wonder, if he entertain his feelings, will the pierced-boy accept him entirely? Or will he just reject him and never look at him the same again?

The thought scared Chishiya.

It's better to stop now. This won't end well.

When he pulled his hand away, his smile vanished, fear and anxiety eating his entirety. He quickly took a pen and paper before jotting down his words.

"Went home already. Let's continue this study tomorrow, better not sleep, asshole. :/"

Despite the joke written in the paper, he didn't smile nor laugh. Chishiya swiftly grabbed his things before leaving the place completely. His heartbeat racing, beads of sweat forming on his head as he walked home. Heaving deep breaths, he took his key out before unlocking his door, remembering that his friend, Kuina, was out partying with a friend.

"She better not get home wasted." He grumbled, entering the sweet house.

Chishiya did his routine; took a bath, changed to his comfortable clothes, cooked himself dinner while studying for the upcoming tests.

Then someone knocked on the front door.

Frowning, he jumped to the conclusion that Kuina was, yet again, wasted and is being dragged home by a friend of hers. He groaned in frustration, ready to scold the girl but as soon as he opened the wooden door, it wasn't Kuina who stood there.

"N-Niragi?"

"Hey," He smiled. "You forgot your textbook. I figured you might need it back since knowing you, you're probably studying right now."

Chishiya couldn't help but bite his lip, Niragi was right.

"T-Thanks." The blonde chuckled. "Would you like to come in?"

"Nah, still have a lot to do at home." Niragi declined, shaking his head. "I'll just see you tomorrow."

"Yeah, tomorrow."

A moment of silence fell upon the two men who refused to talk, they just awkwardly stood there before Niragi found the courage to lean in, slowly.

Their lips were about to touch, if it weren't for Chishiya's fear.

"Sorry." Niragi mumbled, quite dismayed.

"Y-You should go." His thumping heart was so close to bursting out, the heat rising up to his pale cheeks as he cleared his throat. "Let's talk properly tomorrow."

"That's...Alright. Tomorrow it is then. Goodnight." The pierced-boy placed his hands on his pockets, plastering a smirk.

"Goodnight."

Chishiya's lips came in contact with Niragi's cheek as the latter froze in place. The sound of door slamming rang into his ear causing him to jolt slightly. Was that his imagination? Hallucination? He pinched himself.

"Fuck!" He hissed in pain, a red color forming on his arm. "Fuck, it's not an imagination." Despite the stinging pain, Niragi managed to laugh in pure joy.

He took one last glance towards the blonde's house before smiling to himself like a fool.

"Tomorrow, I'll man up. You better not reject me, Shuntaro Chishiya."

holy shit.
