16. I'll pretend for you

Today at school you would be taking your finals. You walked into school and was immediately greeted by Shinso.

"Hi y/n!" He called as he walked over. "Sorry again about getting us stuck, I've been working on using the capture weapon since then and I think I'm getting better."

"Great" You said. "Now we can never have another incident like that again."

Shinso nodded. "Yeah. Anyways, you ready for the final? I've didn't really get a chance to study, I was up all night working with the capture weapon."

You were looking down the hall, where you saw Todoroki talking with Midoriya. You were specifically looking at the bandages around Todoroki's left arm and the bandaid on his face.

"I don't study." You said as you walked towards Todoroki. "I'll catch up with you" You called over your shoulder.

"Todoroki" You said as you appeared next to him.

He looked over and was a bit surprised to see you approaching him, but it was a pleasant surprise.

"Hello Y/n" He greeted.

"Hi" You said. "What happened? Why are you all... beat up?"

Todoroki looked at the bandages on his arm and then back up at you. "Oh, we ran into the Hero Killer during our internships and ended up fighting him. I got stabbed a bit..."

Midoriya waved his arms around. "Todoroki! We're not supposed to talk about that!"

"But it's Y/n" Todoroki said with a shrug. "I can tell her anything."

Midoriya sighed before walking into his classroom.

You turned back to Todoroki and gestured to his arm. "Is it bad?"

He shook his head. "Just bad when it happened, but they were only minor injuries so I'm fine."

"The Hero Killer" You said. "So, the news lied? It wasn't Endeavor?"

He shook his head again. "We don't have our hero licenses yet, so technically we can't fight villains. So they covered it up by saying it was him."

You frowned. "That sucks."

He nodded. "Yeah, but we can't do anything about it. I was mad about it for a while, but whatever."

You stared at his bandages for a moment more before you started to take a few steps backwards. "Okay, I'm gonna head to class now, good luck on your final!"

Before you could even turn around you bumped into someone.

"No." Your dad said. "You'll join us for the finals."

You groaned. "I don't want to."

"Too bad" He said as he grabbed your arm and pulled you into the room, Todoroki followed behind you.

Now you stood with your arms crossed in the middle of a fake city and wearing your gym uniform. Todoroki stood next to you wearing his hero costume.

"I'm gonna kill myself." You grumbled.

Todoroki's face dropped. "What?!"

"This is stupid!" You threw your arms in the air and started walking away. "I'm not doing this! I'm not even in this class! I don't have to take this dumb final!"

Todoroki ran after you. "Y/n, we should probably not yell, it's gonna give away our position."

"I don't care if I give away my position!" You said. "I'm not supposed to be here!"
